I can't tell if you're doing a great job of trolling or if you're actually being serious. Sure, they might share a few small parts here and there, but they're completely different platforms. Different chassis, transmission, engine, suspension design and parts, etc. I've been in both a TT and a beetle. There might be a few similar design styles you could point out, but you're never going to come close to confusing the 2. It's nothing like comparing a nissan Z and the infiniti G.

I can't say I've been impressed with any FPS for a while. They're releasing them too frequently and most of them feel dull and generic now. The single player just don't seem like anything to write home about and the multiplayer feels like more of the same with slight changes. They were enjoyable for a little while, but none of the have grabbed my interest lately.

what platform are you playing?..I am digging BF3 for PC w/online gameplay and from what I have seen it makes COD look like childsplay....but your right campaign is horrible.

You are gonna have a super hard time convincing me that an Audi TT is not a super Beetle. I'm sorry but that is just how it is. I'm sure it is a nice nice nice car, but at 60k I'm gonna go with something a little more muscley.

I play on Xbox pretty much exclusively. My PS3 is for blurays and I don't have the money/time for a supercomputer.

I literally beat the campaign in one day and I was playing on hard.

Multiplayer is sick but MW3 should be just as good I imagine.

It's multiplayer is not even close to the same as MW. I see them as different games for different people. One is fast paced and the other slow. I'll take MW2.5 over BF3 anyday, but BF3 isn't too bad. Helicopters and planes are retarded hard to fly though.

My trouble with the campaign is I get randomly killed. I'll be suppressing the group of people it tells me too (can't kill them because they are endless lol) and yet they kill me in one bullet anyways. It's like random retard luck that I make it to the next part I need. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I doubt it.

You just need to readjust and use different weapons and grenades, try hiding and using different walls for cover.

MWR Family,

With the weather cooling your committee would like to have our first ever
NAVMISSA Poker Run.

What is it?

This is a 2 hour touring event that will be set through the hill country
near New Braunfels, around Canyon Lake and ending at a local BBQ joint where
we will declare the winner. 4 locations will be marked where the caravan of
participants will stop and draw a card from a deck. That card will go
towards your 5 card poker hand. Your last card is drawn at the restaurant
where the winner (best hand) will receive a trophy. In case of a tie we
will do pistols at 20 paces or another hand of poker, whichever seems more
prudent at the time.

When: November 19th with everyone meeting at the starting point at 11:00.
That gives us plenty of time to tour and then end for lunch.

Who is invited: ANYONE and EVERYONE. There will be a $5 fee per person who
plays a hand. No fee required to show up and have fun on a nice ride.

To help me gauge how big of a reservation for lunch I need to make please
respond with the number of members you anticipate attending.

With the car and motorcycle nuts around here we will actually have some
cools cars I am sure people will give rides in. I expect to see a Dodge
Viper, Mustang Cobra, Maserati, a few Mini Coopers, Mercedes, VW bugs,
Choppers and Harleys. Heck, I might even see a vintage Honda (Dr. Marks).

Thanks all.
Man I wish I could make this but I doubt my car will be ready. Sounds sick though.

Houstonrx8, sorry to hear about your mom, I hope she gets well soon.

I'd say they are not the same at all. The only way we got a beetle down to an Audi TTs' times at all was to completely gut it reinforce the block with a crazy *** turbo as well as redo the ignition, suspension, exhaust, not to mention plating and seals, and everything else that we could have done. Which was totaled by a raccoon btw damn thing was melted to the block.

And side note update on my dead 8, finally got a garage (small as can be in a duplex but a garage) and started prep work tonight for engine removal. Come to find out it might not be compression or apex at all. Draining the coolant it seems as if there's oil in it so the one thing that comes to mind is I cracked it (if you can think of anything else let me know). I should be dropping it this weekend unless I get sicker than I am now, I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.

We put my new one in last weekend. Let me know if you need anything. Are you rebuilding it?

Not sure, if it's cracked I won't be it's just one more deterrent to add to the fact that the springs are not fun ( the reason I didn't go for ASE cert). Would you say it's easier to go from the top or bottom with the 8?

If I had a lift I would drop it through the bottom, but in a garage, coming through the top is not hard. Putting it back in is harder to get it mated to the tranny but with some SARX friends (and one Honorary member) we got it done.

If you have a lift and air tools from the bottom is much easier.

It can be done from the top, there's a sticky by rotary resurrection .
