Thats the worst case scenario. The metal sleeve wont come out and I've maxed out the press.... I'm hoping the other ones will be easier.

Some **** I rented from Auto zone, its not the correct tool but it should work. In any event it's not...

The sleeves are fused with the bushings and quite frankly I don't even know if the machine shop can separate them.

The energy suspension bushings don't have a sleeve.

Well the control arms are off at the shop, the guy wasnt 100% that he could get the sleeves off. Worst case I get the dremel out cut the sleeves and cook the residue off.

It's hard to find good shops. Did I ever tell you what a PIA replacing bushing is?

No sir you did not! This shop seems to be pretty good, I've come up with a solution for the rubber but the outer sleeve will be something else entirely.

Anyone who is considering the energy suspension control arm bushings should steer clear. The MS/Drop engineering kit comes with their own inner sleeves, I should have bought that kit but it was $460 total. The only way of getting the bushing out is to cut the inner sleeve, and they don't sell the inner sleeve separately. Its fubar from step one.

My solution will be a combo of methalyne chloride and elbow grease. After I get the bushing out I will need to take it back to the shop to get the sleeves pressed out.

Sounds like a cluster ****. I would end up burning a finger off. When In installed the ES bushings on my Civic I had to take part to a shop to be torched out and even then it was a bitch getting the new ones in. Never again.
