sweet, its funny, I have only been messed with 1 time for no front plate and he was a State Trooper, no ticket and he was cool about it, but all the local officers haven't even flinched at my lack of a plate

I refuse to put the plate on...it just kills the look of the car

C&C looking good for me and a friend, Bryan. He was the guy with the blue turbo IS300 on the first TX8 meet. He now is driving a white ISwagon, also turbo...somewhere in the 500WHP range.

It is definitely a fast wagon. It's a blast to drive, but it took FOREVER to get running right. The wagons only came as automatics so it had to be converted to manual, which had so many difficulties in itself. I look forward to hangin' out. Now I just need to get a car wash tonight (no time to do it by hand :/

I like it but you are right there is no way I'd drop that type of money for a conversion. It would be fun as hell to drive though and would embarrass plenty of people

I guess I could send parts in for micro blue but dont really see a big point in the rear end. The plan was a rebuild with high end bearings and the new LSD.

Cool! Now the search for high end drop in bearings.

Apparently the microblue process makes everything smooth as a babies bottom. takes less power to turn the diff and creates smoother acceleration.

If you get a chance call craig up over there. He takes a few days to get back to you but he's got a wealth of knowledge.

From what he says, he has people start with the diff then do the trans then the engine.

I would actually do the rear end if I was using a torsen type diff but with the carbon on carbon clutch pack set up the only thing i could see it helping is the drive gears and bearings.

I have many engine parts currently being sent in to get the the WPC process done. I am having the side seals and side seal springs also cryo treated prior to the WPC process.

The biggest killer of the diff is heat. Dannobre and Eric M. have talked a lot about that, even it affecting numbers on the dyno if the diff is not heated up.

I may be able to overcome some of this by being careful in my selection of fluids.

I know Dannobre has a diff cooler with a recirc pump and I know Eric fried a few diffs but of course that is a real race car. I assume they both use the best fluids available. I'm not sure if Eric uses a diff cooler but I would assume so.

I know this is a little off topic from the sports wagon thing but I have to make a comment about premix.

I went 3 tanks without premix and by the end of the 3rd my car would barely start and idled like a bitch....after about 50miles with premix and the thing is purring like a freaking kitten

I Love this ****!

BTW, you guys have fun at C&C tomorrow...wish I could make it.

Premix does supposedly help a bit with compression. I am curious what your compression results would be. They will run pretty well up until seal wear gets bad enough to where it won't idle.

Premix should not make the big of a difference. Meaning the night and day difference you are experiencing.

any other ideas?

I am pretty sure the combination of premixing and the major decarb I did a few months back is the only reason the car runs (and semi performs at that)
