Man, I was out the door and got caught up with some last minute stuff. Cars look sweet. On a different note, my ride is sitting at Northpark. I had them look at the 610 code which I couldn't keep clear even with OBD reader. They reflashed, reprogrammed, but came on again as soon as I got home. The car is running great, but I took it in after work to have them take another look. Looks like new ECU for me...800 bones, ouch.

Yeah man, sorry I missed your last text and didn't see it until everyone was leaving. I figured something came up. New ECU? That's rare. 610 code?

Any opinions on paint work...paint above my rear right fender well started to peel a couple weeks ago and it is slowly progressing all the way up that panel...it looks like just the top coat and clear coat. Any way to have this fixed without repainting the whole panel which would eventually lead to repainting the whole car cause there could be a major color difference

It can be patch painted and blended. Is your car from up north? Paint problems are rare.

Its been in texas since purchase from what I know and I got sent up north for 6 months soo it was in the extreme cold for a bit then I came back...don't know if the temp changes like that would effect it bit I was looking at it earlier and there are now 2 spots in the same area starting to peel

the easiest way to fix this is to wet sand the flaking area with 1800 grit. once the area is 100% smooth and blended take the car to a shop and have them spray a few layers of clear.

You might want to have the shop do the sanding as well. You should do this soon before your paint starts stripping.

Their awesome. I definitely notice a difference in the way it rides...shocks are next on the list as well as a damn paint job. But I got my rotors ordered from rotor pros...not a bad price for all 4 slotted/drilled and brake pads...I think 9k is gonna help me out with that if you'd like to join in

I think I'm just gonna get the entire car done...got offered a 2 tone of my choice for 599 plus tax which didn't seem to bad and it looks like their work is decent.

@9k: I meant to comment a while back in your boost thread, but did I see you mention that the turbo is being sent off to turblown? I thought you had decided to send it to BNR? Just curious why you changed your mind.

the manager gave me that price...said it was originally 999 but gave me close to 25 % off...soo it doesn't sound bad. He said its a decent package...not the best but said its 3 base coats 2 clear coats and a 2 stage flake if I wanted it..if not he'd toss on another base coat and comes with a 7 year warranty

I was going to go with BNR but Turblown gave me a great price on a product/service they plan on offering later on at a significantly higher price. It will flow at about the same rate as my AMR turbo but will have hard lines pre installed and a billet wheel. Hopefully I don't regret it

A decent full, proper repaint should run you about $4,000.00-$5,000.00. Even a $1,000.00 paint job is craptastic, there is no way they are going to properly mask, sand, clean, prime, base coat, and clear a mica paint job for that price. The Mica paint on our cars is not cheap.

It's your car but I have never seen a quality paint job that cost less than a couple of grand.

I've seen higher res pictures of that car and both colors looked pretty nice. At least it's cheap and removable if you don't like it!

Yea I was serious, I am doing my car after I am done with my wheels. I still haven't decided on what color for my car, I am thinking a matte dark blue, my wheels will be gloss white forgestar f14's and I will have a tsunami fit on.

I want to see how the wheels look before I do the whole car.
