So as some of you already know, the wife sold her car on Monday.....
and as of yesterday ordered this
![](http://www.ausmotive.com/images2011/Subaru-BRZ-unveiled-01.jpg)
while the order says should be here Sept 2012, the dealer thinks more like 6-8 months
after seeing some videos, this car is so similar to the 8 it is scary, the interior is about 90% identical. Looks like it will be fun to drive.
On a side note, this just means more of mod fund will be diverted to my 8. Exhaust, clutch and wheels are first up. Then prolly coilovers..... then boost????

I'm working all day but I have to go home at lunch to pick up my daughter and I can grab the pipe/tool then. Other than that i am stuck at work, it's my bosses last day before he leaves for a month so we have a ton of **** to go over.

yeah... check out the video on youtube by subaruwrxfan... the doors are identical, and the whole styling looks the same... kinda wierd
9k you have the same clutch i do right, or did you swap it out already? Is your pedal soft still? cuz mine is, i wonder if i need a heaftier throw out bearing or if i should just buy a whole new one.

With all the hype I was just expecting more out of this car. In this day and age 168WHp and 144ft/lbs of torque for almost 30k is not much. But it's light and RWD so it should make a fun canyon carver. If nothing more exciting comes out within two years I'll probably pull the trigger on a Genesis 3.8L R Spec as a daily.

Hmmm, I don't see the similarity. Have you guys driven one or seen one in person?

Yeah I have the same clutch, at first it felt soft but I am used to it now and it feels fine, I did not use the throw out bearing that came with it though, I used a new OEM Mazda one.

I dunno, I had really high hopes for this car and I have been following the progression for a couple of years with the idea that it would be the RX-8 replacement but the end result is just disappointing, especially after seeing the two FRS's in person at Coffee & Cars.
But I do see the attraction, my sisters Impreza has been very reliable and gets decent gas mileage. I am a huge Subie fan but for the same price you could have a Genesis coupe with the 2.0 Turbo and almost 100 more HP and 100 more ft/lbs of torque or the V-6 with even more HP and TQ.
