No clue the front housing had more chrome flake, IIRC.

Tech is never wrong... Because the machine tells him what to do.

6.3 or 6.8 is minimum I believe, the bible is in the garage and the clicker is in my car.

For whatever it's worth, I entered those numbers in to my Android compression app and it says it is out of spec on both with a difference of 0.7. But we need to know the exact RPM (I put 205) and then it has to be adjusted for altitude.

Also I'm pretty sure rpm's were at 205.

Which makes maximum 7.5 and minimum 5.8

Yea I need to confirm rpm's...

My android app said I can drive to Philly and then turbocharge my car.

LOLOLOL Found my old compression results

front

6.1
5.6
6.8
@ 216

Rear
6.7
7.1
6.9
@ 215

The only failing number then was the 5.6 on the front housing according to Mazdatrix.

Nah that means my 6.0 is passing. Depending on what the RPM actually was, I imagine its around the same 205-215.

If it was at 250 rpm my engine is bunk.

What I can find on our great site says anything under 6.8 is failing. But you have to adjust for altitude. Hell I don't know, why would they not do it at 250RPM?

The cranking speed is dependent on the starter and battery.

LOL nah... I have a used started and a new battery.

here is a chart for you... the line follows the max per face, as you can see at 250 rpm 8.5 is the max, we already know 6.8 is the min.

So if we slide the scale down to 215 that makes the max 7.7 ish and the min would be 6.1 ish.
