If the wheels are on a VW, they immediately suck on every car in my book

Nah, I didn't realize it was happening until yesterday and I'm at work. My car is filthy and getting a bath today as well. I also need to clean and organize the garage today, it's a mess.

Just moved here for the military, working at FT Sam. I've been working out the small things that come with buying any new car, but as you know these cars fall into their own category. I'm still wrestling with the steering issue...

Headed out to pick up an Optima battery today. Hopefully this helps prevent any warm start issues.

Steering problems are usually with the main harness connector for the electric assist steering...As J said 9k had this issue... the harness is under the battery tray/ coolant fill bottle. What can happen if the coolant overflows it will go directly to this connector and can corrod the connections.. might be able just to clean it to correct the issue. I believe 9k had to replace the harness..

That's the first place I checked. I already soldered the torque sensor wires, no luck. Gonna do the power wires tonight and clean the connector on the rack. I already put a longer hose on the overflow too. I'm really hoping it doesn't turn out to be the torque sensor or module. The car is in dire need of an exhaust too.
