Speaking of injectors...

Whats the current best setup for people with the BNR kit?

I am going to uncap my yellows but was wondering what I should do for a long term solution.

I am going to be running ID 1000 injectors and ID 2000s.

My friend had some 2000s at his place and I grabbed them from him . Got the right replacement parts from T1 to make it compatible with the RX8 since it was going to be used on his Supra.

Yeah the injector sizing is up there. But the 1000's were purchased because Steve Kan told me to get them. The 2000's were snagged from my friend since he didn't need it. It costs me 60 to get the right replacement parts so everything came out cheaper than buying another 1000cc setup.

This is going on my BNR setup

, I determined that I need another boost gauge. My boost gauge is on my Good box so I can't datalog and watch boost at the same time because the GoodBox and the Cobb can't be used at the same time.

**Help** Hey guys...I need some professional opinions.

Here is what I know.

I have been having a slight engine "shake" or "hesitation" when my A/C kicks on. RPMs drop to 750 or so but only lasts for a second or so.

That being said...Sunday on my way back from Louisiana, I threw a CEL and I coded it as P0420. I know this could be the Cat or the O2 sensor in bank 2 (or rear). I am running a RP Super CAT that has been on my car for about 25k miles. Do yuo think the CAT could be bad or is it most likely the OEM Stock o2 sensor?

The car seems to run fine with no loss in power but it does smell like it is burning rich.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The code could the RP, they are crap and are known to fail often. If the rear O2 was bad it wouldn't cause the car run poorly at idle, since it has no function at idle.

The dip at idle when the AC kick on is normal but if it is to the point where it feels like the car is going to die then that screams vacuum leak to me. I would check to insure there are no vacuum leaks.

Thanks Scott. I guess I could put the stock CAT back on but I really did not want to do that. I also do not want to spend $400 for a new SC if it is just gonna die every 20k miles...

Whatever I do it needs to happen before the tune next month...I hate decisions!

Yeah aftermarket cats just don't last on this car man. I know a few guys that have been through a couple of RP cats. They eventually just gave up. Even the highly praised Davesport cats don't last. There are cats that can survive but they are expensive and would need to be fabricated to fit your midpipe. Just gut that bitch.

Either way, take it off and see if it's failing.

a proper cat that will last long on this car costs good money. Why not just do away with the cat and block the cell like some people do?

Ehhh the rotary runs to hot for any cat, especially after its tuned. IIRC Even BHR uses a $100 davesport cat in their midpipe.

you can purchase a davesport cat and get a shop to weld it in most likely costing you $200 ish after labor.

Thanks for all the input guys. My only "real" issue is my warranty and inspection. Can't get an inspection passed with a gutted CAT or no CAT at all and I still have 6 months or 15k miles on my extended warranty. After just replacing the coolant resivior and the radiator last Friday ($900.00 bill) and only having to shell out $50.00...I want to try to keep it good as long as possible.

I was told and read that a "blocked" CEL would still be picked up by the emissions test ran during inspection???

Guess I need to find a lift so I can get this thing off to check the condition.

If emissions is computer only, it won't be able to pull it. If they hook up a sniffer in the tailpipe then they would.
