I'm posting this for my good friend. His zx-10r was stolen last night around the 410 and Ingram area. If anyone spots it or knows anything please let me know! It's black on black with rims that have a red pin stripe on them, Yoshimura exhuast, hid headlight, and a strobing tail light when applied. License plate 4ME794. If you have any information give me a call or shoot me a text, thanks!

This is probably already common knowledge but just in case anyone needs to know, Samco sells straight sections of hose in various colors under their "race parts", a while back I had installed the 6 piece kit but wanted to replace a few others as well that weren't part of the kit including our dreadful overflow hose that dumps coolant straight onto the power steering harness, the size for the coolant overflow that fits perfectly is 6.5mm, the part number is SHL6.5-BLU, it's 3 ft in length too so it can be run pretty far away from everything etc.

Someone local should pick this up for 3k or less and sit on it and replace all the little bits for a future build.

What's a good way to start improving the lateral traction on these cars without going for a full track setup? I'm having issues with my car getting a bit loose in corners, and it's not just from a heavy foot. I know tires have a bit to do with it but there has to be something else to help too. I can't even imagine driving one of these with a turbo if you are all having the same issue.
I"m also looking to get rid of the stock exhaust. I'm looking at a greddy cat-back, but what's the best option for the midpipe? I don't care about passing a sniff test as long as it will pass a quick visual inspection. Just trying to get opinions from people who actually drive in this area instead of way up north.

If I were you I'd get continental contisport pro2 ultra badass sauce or whatever they are called.
Get a K&N panel filter
Get the BHR midpipe
Get a Cobb Access port.
anything outside of that is either for looks or a waste of money.

In this order buy:
Tires (how baller are you?), shocks (Koni, Bilstein HD, KYB, Tokico Blues), springs (H techs, S Techs, Tanabe GF, H&R, Progress tech, or Eibach), front sway bar & Endlinks (Hotchkis, Progress Tech, or Racing Beat with Whiteline sways), then Midpipe (BHR or Racing Beat), and finally get the car properly aligned. Then buy a Cobb AP to block all the CEL's.
Then after that you can get the looks department squared away with parts of your liking.

holy **** that's a score, I'd recommend laminx on them before you install them, I have the light blue (just a slight tint, doesn't seem to affect the color of the headlights any) on mine and it's holding up well and keeps them looking like they do now.

Flat black looks cool online but rarely in person. Painting a car flat black is actually pretty tough from what I have been told by my buddy who owns a body shop. But if you have a good body shop it can be done. You will need aggressive wheels and a better stance to pull it off though.

it might look cool for about a day or so, but beware that a flat paint scheme gives a whole new meaning to the word high maintenance, any little thing can stain it, I'd only do it for something that doesn't get parked outside...like hardly ever, all my 80's minitruckin' buddies would drive around in tinted primer/matte paint jobs and they were constantly fighting with stains, grime etc.
edit: I might also mention a flat paint job highlights flaws, any little ding or imperfection in the paint is magnified, you could always vinyl wrap it though as then if you don't like it you could just pull the vinyl off. (expensive, but less permanent than a paint job). Your car will also look like *** if you flat black it and don't do the jambs and trunk area and engine bay, one more thing to consider.
I just did the tint on my Laminx to offset the lights a little, plus I thought if they had a slight bluish tint when turned off it might look cool, either way I''d recommend masking/protecting them with something as my lights have been on for over a year now and they still look brand new, if I had known when I got my car new it would have been one of my first mods lol

I'd like to go back at some point, was shooting for this year but then earlier this year I figured out with the elections and stuff it's probably not a good idea to be traveling. I'm defintely going for next year though.
