just a word or warning.... proper 19" tires are expensive. Step up to aggressive sizes and its much worse.

I think that is a very fair price for a good tire but not out of this world.

I am not interested in the 555's sorry. I am not sure what I would use them on. Raul gets a bit more sticky tires the R3 has 19s and the CRZ runs 16s.

19" tires are expensive and i like me some sticky ones. Sticky + wide + 19" = expensive. This is the main reason I stuck with 18's on Raul. That being said... 19"s look sick and I am jealous of Scotts set up but think he will be wanting for more tire with further tune and suspension adjustment when in the hill country.

November 15th at Harris Hill, 4 rotor racecars are making an appearance, it's been confirmed by several members of the club. I believe that's a Thursday so I'm not sure how I'm going to make that but either wayit's more than just a rumor at this point.

Nov. 3rd is a track day/show and shine amd I'll be there for sure. (harris hill as well)

You will want good tires for the hills and twisty roads and shitty cheap tires for the street.

True. Good tires are something you work up too I think. Shitty tires gives you the pucker factor and forces you to be a better driver

or forces you to kill yourself

I had unirottens (uniroyal) on my S10 when I first got it long before the rx8, rain turns to ice in 90 degree weather with those tires.

Better tires = good grip = better times at the track.

Some tires are rated really well but still suck fat monster ****.

Yeah find me someone that loves a certain tire and I'll find you a "professional" that says they suck. **** I remember when Hankook and Kumho were a joke of a tire and everyone bashed them and now people rave about them.

Thats only because they changed their compound and tread patterns. Nexxan will get there soon too.

You will feel a difference between tire manufacturers and compounds, but you wont notice it until you are about to go into a turn at speed. Allot has to do with how fresh the tire is as well and how the company you are buying them from stores their tires.

Theres allot that goes into it.

Personal preference man.

If you end up flying off a 500 foot cliff you know you made a bad choice.

I've wrecked a few times in the canyons with BF Goodrich they suck, these nexxans can barely handle a regular corner let alone aggressive driving with tight turns.

My favorite tires to date are the Khumo's I had on my Z.

I don't plan on driving hard anymore except for the track.

You won't know until you get on a track and see but tires make all the difference. You need to be a good driver as well though... If you are late braking and taking turns wrong you will overheat your tires and slide all over the place.
