you should see mine.
No, as far as I am concerned. I just don't see a low mileage R3 with just a RB catback only making 144HP. If I had to guess I would say it was off 30-50HP. So that means Shady is close to 300WHP which is respectable especially since he had some rich spots that could e tuned out.

Good to meet everyone! I'm the one with the R3 and have video/pics to upload later.
Agreed with the bunk dyno. That mobile POS put a funk in my afternoon. Just Google what the Caddy CTS V should have put down compared to the meek 368 whp that we saw that morning.
Also, if you Google Texas Mobile Dyno they seem to only be affiliated with Harris Hill and started sometime in September of this year. There are also very few if any other mobile dyno setups in the US. This is based on my 5 min. search and a bit of discovery.
Has anyone been to Cobb's 1st Thursday setup and do they dyno at those "events"?

Yea the speed 3 guys says they are notorious for reading weird and low.
I havent gone to the cobb dyno day yet, I'd like to go sometime though.

SSV staying closed = low midrange power
THen APV opens - and houston's HP spikes. I would research SSV first, since the APV opening earlier has been very hit or miss with power output. Obviously an SSV stuck closed is going to choke the motor in the midrange.

what was I thinking

well I hope its just the solenoid. I have one to replace it just need to do it.
I am just not sure if a malfunctioning actuator is going to cause the "low circuit" code (we did vacuum test the actuators on my rebuild)

Did you check the solenoid and the actuator? I would assume, the solenoid going bad would cause the CEL, and bad actuator would just stick closed...

If you tested the actuator and it held vacuum it should be fine. But you did have the rattle at the actuator and when I had that problem my actuator had failed. i have been meaning to just buy a new SSV all together because there was some type of update to it at some point. I also find it weird that your actuator is black, everyone I have seen is not painted.

i had one when i was young and those things are awesome but dangerous (especially in mex roads...) man those ****** dont care about you haha
Yeah, I'd like a Honda or Acura sportwagon to replace my Dodge Dakota.
Thanks for the plug install!
My 8 growls a little more in drive at idle, and my Scangauge showed a 278 HP # instead of the 259 I used to get before BHR kit.
High RPMs are hit too fast for refresh of the highest #, and we know the HP is way too high, but a little interpolation tells me that the BHR coils with plugs are worth at least 10 HP.
My gas mileage seems the same either way, and I can still get 25 mpg @ about 65 mph with crummy ethanol spiked fuel.

I might have dynoed, but you SARX guys were hogging the dyno.
J/K And saved me the trouble since it was acting funky.
It was excruciating getting my six 5 lap runs, and then running up to the back marker in about 2 laps.
If you can't pass it's not track day!
I'll ask next time.
