We are working on that actually....

Its possible it will happen but might not be the same setup as last year.

It's clean but those wheels need to go.

The market is saturated with RX-8's these days you can look around and find one in near mint condition for less than blue book.

sooo...anyone no why my car would be running okay and then die, then wait about 10 minutes or so and then run again? This has happened to me twice, once when it was really hot out, another time (last Saturday) heat was a non-factor. There were no symptoms really at all, it just died at a stop light, I coasted into the shoulder, tried starting, it would turn over initially, waited a little longer and then it started. Maybe fuel or fuel pump related? It was very weird, in other news, The Cars and Coffee at the Oasis is getting pretty big, there were 50 of us out last time not counting all the rest of the cars, which included a Ferrari FF. (eek) It's the 2nd sunday of the month if anyone's interested in going we meet at the Starbucks at Northland/2222 at 9am and head out at 9:15, feel free to hit me up if you want to roll with a bunch a cars, it was blast last time.

It could definitely be the fuel pump. But it could also be something else. After it dies, does it crank like it wants to start? Any check engine lights afterwards?

I am interested in the C&C meet. Maybe after the Cupcake meet I will head to one with you.

Hey Canary. I have seen this a few times. The last time it happened to me it was low compression but it could be something as simple as a vacuum leak or a fuel pump failure.

Canary, does it buck, surge, or hesitate before it stalls? Does it happen when completely stopped or just during deceleration?

thanks, I'll have to check that out, my thinking was maybe it's the fuel pump getting hot, cooling off and then working again, I'll play with it later this week and see what I can figure out, if I lose another motor (yikes, really?!?) then it's either time for a swap or time for a new project, or just make a swap my new project lol

edit: if that's even possible with a fuel pump, I'm pretty ignorant as far as how those work etc.

That super charger is not like the other kit on the market. It has a larger compressor and a air to air intercooler. Its also all billet.

for those of you that use the S2 oil filter..i found that the best price is from the MS race team page. Maybe at some point we can do a big bulk order or something if you want to save a couple bucks.

We keep all the S2's up in DFW, too rich for our blood.

Cool man, I am glad you were able to help him. I have known Dr. Lopez for 20 years, he is a good friend and I told him you were my friend so don't let him talk you down on your prices man,
