I know you guys mentioned before some of you meet every week or so but for sure at the end of the month. When possible I would like to meet though and check out your cars and have you all take a look to see what can be done to mine with mods and such. I'm off on the weekends and pretty much during the weekdays after 6pm.

Beware though think of me as a ditz because I know nothing and looking to you guys for guidance lol.

All newbs are welcome. We should be wrenching at my house this weekend and there is a 99% chance that at least one of us is wrenching or getting together on any given weekend.

Mine is running pretty damn well, But I backed off to 5psi right now while I fix some ****. But I should be able to get some logging and tuning done this weekend and get back to 10psi since I am free. I'm like 90% there.

Thanks for the update 9k. I've been reading everything i can and looking at different set-ups trying to decide which turbo to go with. If you happen to see some P2's around let me know. I need some to send over to KG as my build progresses.

So about a week ina half ago I replaced the coils, wires, and plugs. Started the 8 up and was so smooth, so quick to start I loved it. A few days later it started to sound a bit off and now just yesterday and today sounds like hmm... tapping or knocking noise in the engine( in that area).

Might any know or have a clue what it could possibly be? I need to take it into mazda for them to do test.

Any codes? Check your spark plug wires. If one of them is not making contact it can make the sounds you are describing.

I would have to hear it but a tapping noise could be something as simple as a worn SSV actuator shaft or loose bolt.

I was just about to say check the SSV actuator arm.
