That's good cuz ain't nobody got time for that! Anybody know where I can get some decent used tires? Never bought tires before and I plan on selling the 8 so I don't want to put too much money into it. I've been going on sites like NTB, discount tires etc. but most of them don't have used tires advertised online. I also need to replace the brakes and most likely the rotors too

Alright guys, I wanted to get some input on what I should sell my car for realistically. It has low compression on the engine, so its pretty much a roller at this point. It would be perfect for someone who wants to just buy a motor and put it into the car.

Below are the specs, what is a good starting price?

-2004 BB with red interior with less than 55k miles. Can't remember the exact mileage.

-Grand Touring Package (HID, Heated Seats, Power Drivers Seat, Homelink Mirror, 2 tone leather seats, Bose stereo, etc), DVD Navigation, rear spoiler.

-OEM Mazdaspeed Bodykit

-OEM Mazdaspeed springs and shocks/struts

-OEM Mazdaspeed front bumper, side skirts, and rear diffuser.

-Racingbeat Exhaust

-18" Tenzo Type-M Wheels

-35% tint

One of our guys just bought a clean 04' GT with low miles and a blown engine for under $2,000.00. So with the MS kit and exhaust I would say $3500.00 tops but $3,000.00 is a more fair price. The wheels are cheap and add no real value.

It was listed locally. Think about it, for most, an engine rebuild and installation is going to cost $5,000.00-$6,000.00 at the dealer (no other shops locally) and you have to deal with the hassle of getting it done and hope it is done right and that there are not a lot of extra charges (which there always is). You can buy a clean 04-05 with a low mileage reman for $7,000.00ish as is and be done with it. Many are selling after getting a reman put in by the dealer so a lot of the ones listed have low mileage remans in them already.

Your car has sat a long time, I am sure aside from the engine it needs other work as well.

****, I almost pulled the trigger on an 09' Touring in Houston with 7,000 miles on it. It was a one owner car and she only wanted $16,000.00. I found several other low mileage 09+ RX-8's in that range as well.

He is talking about the RX-8, not the engine.

As the prices of the series II's plummet, the prices of the S1's will drop even more. It is sad, but great for those of us who would like an S2

and even better for people wanting S1's and makes availability of parts easier too !! , it sucks but is good at same time...one reason i like the FC, alot of used parts(housing/irons/Rotors) for decent price.

Just picked up a 1000 zip ties and a pimp zip tie gun with adjustable tension and flush cut. Also all the zip ties have a stainless locking tooth and are rated for 50lbs.

I nerd out on the oddest things sometimes.
