Ah that was you. I noticed you backed off Smart move, Did you buy that Shinka locally? I thought it was Shinkamami's old car but noticed the painted stock wheels.

Honestly I haven't noticed it to be any lower, but it looks lower. But I am always careful anyways and with this since it is fresh paint I am even more careful.

yea it was raining or drizzling at that specific moment but didnt want to take any chances. Owned a Rx8 without traction control before and went slipping around at times. The shinka gots it but dont want to ruin my baby lol. The 8 looked nice up close like the job you did on it.

As for the rims they are just dipped. I put it on thursday to see how the car would look with black rims. I like it so far not sure still if I'll purchase some

I don't like the way they look, and plus getting the bumper repainted cost about the same as the film. I will use the 3m spray on stuff for road trips though.

Yeah the rain sucks, getting traction while turbocharged is pretty much a joke.

Yeap I do, its wrapped in DEI titanium wrap and has an 02 sensor.

Surface temps of the header were at 220* after running it for a while. the wrap is really bad ***.

Shoot me a PM if you want it.

What's up guys hope all is well. Anyways I'm looking for an rx8 mechanic in the san antonio/converse texas area. I don't think my cooling fans are working properly and is causing my car to heat up at stop lights. Can anyone here help me out? I will be a paying customer.

So i dropped off my car at mazda while i went to NY for the week due to what i thought my ac compressor went out but only one of my fans. Well all and all its getting fixed however mazda said i put the wrong spark plugs in it. Now he says just get them changed and not hurting engine. The sparks that i installed were NGK 6700 iridium... is this correct on what i put or are they trying to get money out of me? When i did research before i bought them all it said were those.

On the good side he said i have kept my car healthy

Got a question for you guys. I'm looking for work and considering moving away from NC to find it. Had a few friends tell me to move to Texas and a few have referred to SA. Any advice? I am a Vet and have a background in electronics work if that helps anyone. Just did a interview with Boeing for a position in Washington state. If that tell you anything.

I cant tell you much due to not having your degree of background, however what I can tell you is that I've lived here my whole life and its not a bad place to live. Every city will have there bad parts and good parts. If you look there is always going to be something to do in SA and shoot you can take a 45min drive to Austin TX (ATX) which is also very fun as well. We dont have dry heat over here so be prepared for good sun tan lol. Either way we southerners are friendly but not country like everyone thinks. We have what every other city has unless you go out to the small towns. SA has always been a growing city and attraction to tourist.

Also there is a Boeing facility over here as well if you want to check that out.

I've heard that about SA and Austin. Well only time I've dealt with dry heat is when I lived in San Diego. So that isn't a concern. Well I am considered country and southern to most people I know. Lol so it's cool. I will look into the positions Boeing has in the area.

I am also a vet with a strong electronics background. There are a ton of those type of jobs for you here in San Antonio. Are you looking for avionics type stuff, Military or general electronics type jobs? All can be found locally.

I highly suggest looking into the fallowing company's General dynamics, SWRI, BAE or Mantech. All of them have Tons of electronic jobs and have a veterans preference. Back in the day i use to sit on the board for the local young division of AFCEA (armed forces communications and electronics association) there were always a ton of local company's looking for a person like yourself.

I have lived a bit of everywhere. I Love it here and at this point would have a hard time imagining living elsewhere.

Those plugs are fine, if they are in the leading position ONLY. The Trailing plugs would be RE9BT (NGK 6701).

Just wanted to point out that Texas is very differnt from the "south"... We are essentially our own little country.

Thanks Hoss for the info. I'll check out the openings they have. I'm not really looking for anything specific. Just general electronics.

Yeah from the people I served with from Texas. It is definitely its own state.

We do have one of the most legit RX-8 groups in the nation, so if thats nto reason enough to move I dunno what is...

Maybe no state income tax, a booming economy, cheap housing, cheap gas, cheap women... I lie, the women are expensive.
