Grungepups stock exhaust was shot, rattling internally. That is the only case I know of.

umm question.. how do you know if your exhaust is going out? CEL wont matter for that especially if im putting a midpipe resonator. It should be put on tomorrow by alamo rotary.

Alamo rotary is doing work for you? Who did you talk to?

You will not get a cell for exhaust but you will if you remove the cat.

Tito is putting it on? The only way you know is that you will hear pieces inside moving around. I doubt that is the case in your scenario.

yes i spoke with tito. and the only thing im going to be installing is the midpipe resonator in replace of the cat since its failing and aftermarket. if it was OEM i could install and take to mazda to put a new one for free. stock exhaust is still going to be on there.

whats the tell sign that the stock exhaust will be failing? you said rattling around?

buddy of mine has the machine to check the CEL's and clear them. Is that what you guys were talking of the Cobb? or needs to be a specific brand. I can delete the code every once and a while when i get too annoyed of it. If i can get the code hidden with his device is that just a program i need to DL then. sorry at work and hard to do research here. will try when home

I really dont mind helping up but please start here: https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...t-here-202454/

The Cobb is not a simple hand held obd tool and has many functions usable for both entry level users and hardcore FI guys. It can take care of the Cell light in question.

If you get a chance check out Tito's RX8 if he has it at the shop. Its ummm Very nice

na i appreciate everything that you guys have told me already. Ive read that before but that was when i first got my 8 and i prolly should read again. Ive done so much researching some that has confused the crap out of me and guess i got somewhat lazy now or just burnt.

None the less alot of people that act like they know what they are saying so ive read and then some that say different. Just wanted to know how my city 8's felt
