Not as bad as I thought it was yesterday when I first looked at it... still worse than typical curb rash. What's really annoying is I wasn't driving carelessly or anything, I always make sure to go wide on that corner cause I've seen people clip it a few times. Oh well... life will go on.

Also, anyone interested in a piano black voodoo shift ****? $20

What up guys!

Just wanted to introduce my self to everyone in my area. After many months of research and test drives, I finally decided an RX-8. After two months of ownership it still manages to impress me! My only complaint is the MPG but with my 12 mile commute via city I suppose it is normal... Anyway...

It sounds like you guys are pretty active when it comes to meeting up and working on cars. This is always good to see/hear and I wouldn't mind helping out sometime if I can.

Do any of you goto the texasrxs.org meets? I found this group of someone's sig and since it was close to me it sounded interesting.

Is there a group that meets up for track days at that road course in San Marcos?

If you guys do another install night I might stop by. It would be helpful to see how things come apart interior wise instead of the self discovery route...

I believe Canaryrx8 is the guy I was referring to. He is the one who admins the Texasrxs site I think...

That's a cool design... depending on what the design for the SARX thing is I'd stick one on my new car lol.

Was just reading this on AZ: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ing-on-his-car

Scary stuff, my stands are 3 ton units. That's why I always leave the jack under the car too. I saw this happen first hand but not with jack stands but a jack. Luckily it was under a dually and when it landed my friends dad was safe by a few inches. The jack just dropped. Definitely scared the **** out of us.

I've seen the wheels under the frame done before but not something I'd usually think of.

Really wanting to hear what actually happened. The guy might have just been using a jack, which would be the obvious problem in that situation.

Yeah it would be hard for a 3,000lb car to cause two let alone three, 3 ton jack stands to fail. But at Northern Tool they have these huge stand that I have been looking at getting. They make them in 6 ton or 12 ton models
