Well, it sounds like I'm going to be in a rental for a little bit. Selling to a guy in Houston... he's meeting with my dad to do the transaction stuff and then I'll be meeting his father in law on Saturday to hand over the car. Definitely going to miss driving an 8, but definitely looking forward to my new car getting in.
I'm predicting 9k to have more pics to post in the near future...

Thanks... finished it up yesterday actually. It was pretty much a done deal but I already had 3 people look at the car and say they were ready to buy, then back out so I've been hesitant to speak too soon lol. Everything went smoothly... he paid on thursday so it was just dropping the car off with his father in law yesterday. I definitely wish he would have been willing to wait a little bit since I'm still waiting on my car, but it sounded like he needed the car soon and I couldn't really pass up on a serious offer since there's no telling how long it would be until the next.

Hey 8 Maniac, one of the guys (Dan) that came Saturday for the coil over install owns a TT S4 and he is having some issues with it. He is blowing black smoke when he hits boost so I am pretty sure his turbos are in need of a rebuild but if i do end of working on it you should come by. In your research have you found any reputable Audi shops? He had his timing belt(s) and water pumps (yes it has two water pumps) replaced and the guy did shitty work and put 120 mile son his car but he cannot prove it.

Has he seen any running issues? Any noises or anything? If he's lucky, it could be something as simple as a seal. Depending on his mileage it could also just be time for new turbos... I think most people do the timing belt in the 80k range so he's probably not too low on miles.

That sucks... I honestly never found a shop that was really recommended here. Just did a really quick search and came up with prestige tuning and DBC performance as being alright, though I'm not really sure the extent of work DBC does... I'm sure a call could answer that quickly lol. Prestige seems like they're able to do most services, though I didn't find a whole lot of information on how satisfied people were... at least I didn't find horror stories lol.

Anyway, he says when he gets on it, the car bogs and then he has black smoke billowing from the exhaust. So I am pretty sure his turbo(s) needs a rebuild or replacement. Black smoke means oil is burning and the power loss tells me that is the case as well. But it is a possibility that he is experiencing blow by and his whole engine is losing compression. Kind of hard to tell without seeing the car in person though.
