Its a project my step dad and I are working on...so far we have a weaponR short ram intake, cat back exhaust, and just finished moving the battery to the trunk. Next on the list is the vfad delete...we have a Turbo kit we'd like to install but seems we may need to do a few more mods before that's installed. I'm a welder / fabricator and would be willing to trade work for parts and/or help

And if you are thinking of a Turbo kit then you have a lot of reading to do because there are not many tuning options available. A custom kit would require a lot of time and money so do your homework. We can always use a welder so keep checking the boards and stop by when you can. I actually need a clutch pedal bracket welded
Look for the thread, it's a good drive and can be hard on the car depending on how your drive so if you are having problems I don't recommend it. But a stock 8 that is properly maintained can do it all day everyday. Just make sure you give it a good once over. I had my ride brake down a few trips ago do to a busted AC belt and it is not fun way out there

These are the areas that fail.
This is how they fix it by welding.

Cool, yeah it's out of the car, I bought a pedal off of a wrecked 8. that way I can just swap it out and then have my current one welded for someone else. Let me know what you charge, you can probably make a few bucks doing this for us all.

I thought we were doing hello kitty on 32 blades?, if not then why did we send back the wheels for blades and order the pink paint for the car?

Well, the company that I'm getting my gauge pod/gauge set up from is having a black friday sale so I'm kind of glad I didn't buy it already.... 30% off.
Was thinking I would take advantage of that and pick up the gauge that does both boost and AFR, but the sender for the AFR is $200 alone so not sure I can afford that for the time being. Boost gauge will be useful at least.

8 maniac is there a good place to buy VW body parts/radiator ala Mazmart? Hit a dog on the way back to Waco. Car has literally 521 miles and had to be towed due to all the coolant spilling out. PS: Fukc retard dogs on the highway.

Ouch... that really sucks. I haven't come across anything quite along those lines... I think there's just so many VW's that they don't consolidate like they can with mazda's. It seems like there's a lot of specialization though I haven't really looked into OEM parts so there might be a more general site. Since I'm dealing with a car that's 8-10 years old at newest, the companies that provide parts are fairly specialized. I'll definitely browse around to see if I can find someone reliable though.
