Probably Texas' fastest RX-8
A buddy and I ran into an RX-8 owner that we met a while back last night. While talking to him, he claimed his car ran an 11.5 ........... I chimed in that he would need about 430rwhp to hit that and he claimed it had 470HP!!!! We asked if he had the Greddy turbo kit or a huge shot of spray and he said it only had intake, Greddy exhaust, and ......... rotor work. We were too stunned by the bull **** to say anything but he invited us to come out to the track with him. Just wanted to let everyone know about the insanely fast mostly stock RX-8 rolling around. :D

(hmm not sure if it can do that underload in our car.) racing beats light weight rotors for our car are only .2 lbs less than stock (per rotor). so i dunno..oh wait...sorry i didn't notice my brain had raised teh B.S. flag even befor i started typing:p

The most powerful naturally aspirated 13B engines are lucky to be making in excess of 300HP. These engines arent even considered streetable. The fastest naturally aspirated dragsters weigh around 2000lbs and aren't street legal and are barely running low 10's. Tell him good luck with that rotor work.

Therefore he has an 18,000 RPM Renesis (with proper porting and fuel management etc.)
I sure hope his transmission holds out at 18,000 RPMs :D

Ok, I read this earlier today and I was with you guys: total BS. I went to the gym and one of the guys who works at the front desk is a total car nut and he says he talked to a guy with a red 8 w/turbo kits (he thought I'd be interested b/c of my 8). I told him that I didn't think they were out yet, but that they were coming. The car owner tells him that he added a ROOTER turbo-kit. I've yet to do a search on this, but kinda weird that the gym guy also met someone who claims to have made their 8 this fast...

I'm thinking of challenging this awesomely powerful car at the strip for slips. Running 11.5, he should take out my slow 12 second arcane RX-7.

Why people BS like that? It's the presumption that they are talking to a clueless person.
On a different note, did you ask him what level he is on NFSU2 now? I bet that's where he got the 470HP on his RX-8 from :D
