I can't think of anything you'd need to go see Martin about.
In the form of a present anyway.
Intake?
You have an exhaust...
Did you get the eyebrows for the lights?

She's just trying to hold my car up. I guess we will see when the time is right.

Look forward to seeing you Mr Ed, it's been a while.

The adjusters should come out Monday (3 weeks and 3 days later) to look at my car. At this rate it will make a good Christmas present for me.

The last I heard on the intake was that it was to be shipped the week before last. I have all the info at the office but I haven't been there to check on it. I'll get an update on Monday. Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, Stranger!!

I'm not trying to hold up your car, Slim. It sounds like your insurance adjuster has already got that covered!! :p

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this gift on the forum or not... There are a few people who I have told. No eyebrows for the lights, and Martin doesn't know just yet. I'm going to call him tomorrow. If it works out right, I'll be able to reveal the surprise on Friday. :D

At least I'm not over seas yet.
It was six days on, one day off.
Fourteen+ hours a day.
Kinda miss it. Life was overly simple.

I saw the most amazing sight when I was waiting for my flight to leave Seattle and I want to share.

There was this woman with balloons and flowers at the gate, obviously waiting for someone to arrive (which threw me off since we can't do that anymore). The passengers from the previous flight were de-boarding and just about everyone was off and the flow of people was slowing down. She even gave the last name of the person she was waiting for to an employee to make sure she was at the right place.

And then a warfighter, wearing his desert fatigues, walked proudly out of the entry way and made it no further than 5 feet when the woman ran into his arms. They stood there, frozen in time, just holding each other. She started to cry and I cried for her as well (I'm even tearing up as I type this). It was one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen.

I don't know how long he was away, but I was so happy for the both of them and their son (who was also there) that he was home. It made me realize how much every soldier sacrifices... they leave their family and everything they love to go and fight, so we don't have to. To all of our soldiers, I say thank you.

When I saw this reunion, I had spent 5 days at a security conference, where it was reiterated everyday, over and over again, why we security professionals follow all of the "stupid" rules of the government and have to be **** about the protection of our data--it's to bring the warfighter home. Yeah, sometimes works sucks, but what I saw on Friday made it all worth it.

I can't find the thread either...

We're still meeting on Tuesdays. The past couple Tuesdays have been chaotic for all of us schedule wise. I should be there this Tuesday.

Offical cause was lightning hitting one of the statues on one of the decks. They say they will rebuild and part of the structure only had smoke damage. Its open already, but they say they're down to 1/3 of the seating (it used to be 2000! )

Austin rocks.
Salt lick is alive and well, even made it on the cooking channel with that show "20 dollars a day" or something with Rachel Ray. They now have a location on 360 called the Salt Lick 360, but it's hilarious. They have air conditiong and it's all foofooque, not real live Texas bubbaque.
