This is a RX-8 forum not a apartment leasing forum. Sorry.

More threads will be cleaned up in due time.

so the only threads alowed in the gulf forum, as well as all the other location forums is to have nothing to do about anything but 8's? for the exeption of 1 thread of 'random' crap that everybody talks about normal, everyday stuff

Basically yeah.. that is what we are shooting for.

If it is related to rotary, RX-8s, club get-to-gethers, automotive events etc. in the Gulf region then it is acceptable... in some cases general interest threads will be allowed but are subject to moderation at anytime.

side note: I am only resposible for moderation in this forum section. If other section moderators prefer to allow off-topic threads that is their perogative. This section has entirely too much "on-topic" discussion to be cluttered up with personal stuff.

The Random Crap thread is a concession (and a priviledge) that was allowed by the senior staff members so that the "chatters" we have here could discuss matters that only effect themselves or were no of public interest.

i can understand in all the threads above location threads, yea...just figured in the segregated threads it would be a little looser than what they are...only so much u can talk about a car....instead we're alloted one thread with everybodys thoughts, convo's going on at once...if thers a question on a busy day, u get lost by searching for responces ect

I understand your concern (I might even share it). That doesn't allow me the liberty to modify the rules as they are currently designed.

You might enjoy visiting the RX-7club forum and use the South Region Lounge area. You will find many of the same users and a wealth of knowledge regarding topics that are DFW-centric in nature.

no worries...im not trying to have a cyber war or anything..ur the hero here, not me...just seems it would be user friendly if more things were alloted rather instead just the 'random crap' section...all serious rotary questions will be answered with professional answers in the other forums (common sence)..hell you can find every question in the gulf thread on the other threads that are rx-related....but ithe location should be about the people in the location talking about whatever they want...not just one thread that we are privleged to have in the first place....its more of a way to let people get familur with one-another, ...but like i said, my word doesnt count, so it doesnt matter...i guess yall just want the whole rx8club.com to be nothing but questions/answers ..anyway i wont mention it again, thanx

haha..well be assured i have way to much time to spend other than fighting with somebody 4hrs. away...anyway thanx for listening bro, i doubt anything will change..just voicing opinions, that ive witness on other forums, but they were bodybuiding forums, so i guess it was alloted due to the extra testosterone..haha..anyway, take care

Actually, Blake you bring very real and relevant concerns to the table. This is the type of constructive thought that would be welcome in the feedback and comments section of the forum as well.

I have always felt there is a conflict of intersts in the way that off-topic and on-topic issues were handled. While I hate having to make the distinction between the two. I suppose that's why the Lounge section setup over at rx7club works.

well im sure its been mentiond before, and i think its a great idea..i mean u still have topics, but topics are answered/viewed by people who have interest in the thread that is made...it can still be rx8topics as well as off topics....i mean same rules would apply with a *work warning* in the title if its not fit for work, or youngsters...it just gives the forum more of a libral status than a closed pin status...might make alot more people be intersted in the site...

i know when i first joined and started posting, i was pretty puzzled/turned off of how the rules were set up..it was 2 serious *for the gulf* i mean we all work 40+ hr jobs, if this is the primary site that we come to to 'unwind', hell i would think it would be more user friendly..

now i know your the mod, and you have to follow the rules, thers no bypassing that.. the non-location sections are for seroius question/serious answers..thats no doubt, but the locations should be ...well about locations, events, current news, just bs that people can laugh at, be entertained... im off the perch, thanks for listening..haha and not banning me!
