Looks like I won't get my car until thursday when I fly back. I was really hoping to pick her up today so I could put in the garage and not have to worry about her. *sigh*

recall
All I've received so far was the Power Train Extention Warranty Program, which we bought the extended warranty on the car from the beginning so this will give me double coverage. no news good news? I hope so. I have less than 4500 miles on my car.

Mine is being looked at as we speak at MazdaSouth, they're also going to fix some post wreck issues so if all goes well it looks like my baby will be back to livable and I won't have to ditch it due to frustration, (not from the recall or anything like that, more because of it being ruined in the wreck/hail damage and never being "right afterwards") I came within inches of trading her in for a beemer (I LOVE the new Z4 coupe) but at this time I'm keeping it, paying it off, than getting new later

Took my car in for a check engine light, had not received the recall notice yet however they are going to perform it. Freeman said that they are out of loaner cars so I was **** out of luck and wanted me to continue driving my car with a check engine light until their work load decreased. Made them check in the car called MNAO got a free rental from Enterprise, they are extremely back logged on cars right now, and not going to be able to work on it until Monday. No big deal going to Cancun for a week this Sunday, get back and hopefully everything will be fixed with the car. Freeman said that so far they have only had to replace 2 engines under the recall but considering this recall has only been going on since Sept 4th, that is not to promising.

good point from miguel. While they have the engine out... i might as well pay them a little extra to do a clutch/flywheel install.
then again, i dont even know if im getting a new motor or not.

I was like, I'm taking it in because it won't start which is part of the problem that is related to the recall. They will cover for the rental car, but won't cover for the towing, which doesn't make sense to me. I just wish I would have taken them up on the offer to buy back my car a couple of years ago.
The only flood I ever had was before the new starter TSB. Maybe this is my chance to get that desireable upgrade. My heart always skips a couple beats if she doesn't fire up immediately.
