Hey guys...I am still planning on making the trip. I don't have a room, but if there is not one available...I have a friend that I can stay with in the area. I know you are meeting up in Hillsboro at 8:30 on Friday. Is there a specific location? Sorry I haven't been around to talk everything through. We had an EPA audit at my company and everything has been crazy since then. I think I am putting in about 80 hours per week with weekends (and in my sleep) working. I really need this break. :D

You're still on the list. Jenkins and I are trying to hammer out the room situation as we are very top heavy on the Deluxe room with 6 persons in a 4 person room and very light on an exec room with 2 bedrooms and a living space. You will have a place, but just not sure how we are going to shuffle people around. We are meeting tonight to finalize stuff. We will let everyone know who could not attend.
Since you're coming from Waxahachie, meet us here....
Pit Stop: Hillsboro, TX Exit 368B Braums or Exxon for potty breaks and gas. Meet up with the rest of the crew at Braums parking lot around 8:30 PM.

Possible drive back suggestion..from the top of my head.
From Mopac to 2222 and make your way to Lime Creek
After lime creek get back to 183 and head north. It will be a nice and scenic drive from there. I don't remember the turns but I end up going towards Glen Rose. You can stop a see the nuclear power plant and see the dinosaur foot prints. You somehow end up on I-35 about 10 miles north of the Hilsboro I-35 (East/West) intersection. It's not all twisty but mostly scenic.

Route Home
Here's the route that I've come up with. Starting at Austin & ending up in Hillsboro, half farm roads, never on 35 before Hillsboro. Of course this is just a suggestion, nothing in stone. There's good twisties, so-so twisties, going around two lakes and a state park and we shouldn't run into any no-gas-station issues. Let me know what you guys think!

You guys should modify your planned route to include 1431 from Cedar Park to Marble Falls. That road is a sports car dream and runs parallel to part of your route at the beginning. I've had alot of fun in my RX-7 on that road. I've been all through that area.

Well, just to fuzzy things up a little, Josh just called and he won't be making to Austin. He has to work or something. So, I guess that is one less person in the room and means I have a comfy passenger seat if anyone needs one...

I added in 1431 as well as some other roads that look like they will be great twisties as well (using 1431 as an example) and here's a new route. The only bad news, I guess, is that it's just as long. If we need to, we could break off at 84 and head towards 35 again, but we'll be missing some great twisties!!!!! Let me know what ya'll think!

You guys are going to love 1431. It's alot more fun than your original route. Now I really wish I could make it. The map just can't do justice to how twisty and fun that road is. The rapid elevation changes give you some nice G-forces as well! Watch out around Lago Vista and Jonestown on the north side of the lake. Been tagged by big brother there before. They don't appreciate your cars abilities as much as you do. That's one of my all time favorite routes. Someone mount a video camera inside their car to record it. Remember good ol' RG while you're on that road!

The room situation has been straightened out. I'm not sure if the first page has been updated or not, but it's all good.
Can't wait guys!!! As long as everything goes smoothly tomorrow morning at the dealership, this weekend is going to be a blast!!!
