You do realize that your planned route through the countryside will take somewhere between 6-8 hours to complete right? That's only how long it will take to get back to I-35 north of Waco. That doesn't even include the rest of the trip to Ft. Worth. That's alot of miles. There are also spots out there where the cops will be waiting to collect. Copperas Cove is bad as is Lago Vista, and Jonestown. I don't know about the rest of the route but watch out in those areas. Keep the speed down. On 1431 that is going to be a hard temptation to resist. Trust me.

be careful in the 183/cedar park/psycho williamson county area as well, lots of DPS and local pggly wigglys looking for an excuse to pop somebody. I got pulled over in rush hour one day over there on the way to liberty hill by a cop who "just happened to notice I had no front plate". and Rg is right, the lago vista area is also sketchy, but it will be hard not to enjoy 1431. 183 is pretty much a race track in some areas, especially when it widens to 6 lanes through Austin, and the cops all know it :D has anyone complie some kind of informal itinerary?

Ok, I think we will use you map, but cut it off at 190 and head back to Temple on 35:

35 - Austin to
183 to
1431 - Cedar Park to
281 - Marble Falls to
963 - Burnet to
190 - Kileen to
35 - Temple to
To Hillsboro to split up

Does that sound ok?

Sounds good Jenkins.

Important Info: bring cash for the rooms, we have enough walkies to go around, we're using channel 8 :D and there's not a full crew doing the twisties home. We'll see how many are actually driving when it gets closer. That's all I can remember. I need more sleep.

Yes bring cash, then 1 person from each room can pay for a room. The rest is updated on the 2nd post.

Ok, it looks like we will have 6 people per room. I called the hotel and the total after taxes for the Deluxe room is $331.78 for the weekend. This comes out to $55.00 per person in the Deluxe room. Since I didn't have a Suite reserved, I didn't get the price for the Suite. Also if you have a coupon, they are transferable, we might be able to give one to Jackie to see if they will discount the Suite as well.

She had to get a whole new wheel hub wich is supposed to be delivered at 12:30 and it should be done by 3. Then she has to get some mesh on the front bumbper. It will be close but looks like her baby is going to make it!

I have the certificate, but it is not good on Suites.

309 X 2 nights = 618

618 X 15% tax = 710.70

710.70 / 6 persons per room = 118.45 per person for the weekend

or 59.23 per night.

$12 parking per night

Parking is free on weekends along the street. I highly doubt you'll find one around downtown by the time you guys get here so you're stuck paying for the night.

Weather: It finished raining here in Austin. Now it sunny and a bit muggy. Sat/Sunday will be in the low 70s and sunny. Have a safe trip. See you guys on Sat.

I would bring some extra bedding, we are.

*****ATTENTION*****

35 on the Fort Worth side is probably going to be packed so give yourself enough time.
The Rig is the first exit past I-20 and the entrence is there immediately when the Ramp ends. I think there is a back entrance to their parking lot if you take a right at the light but don't hold me to it.

Well, if Richard is coming, Fred Cancelled. Could Dazygirl then come to our room? And Richard stay in Deluxe room 1? That would still make it 6 people per room.
