Sorry meetings stay inside or near the loop.
We've tried doing the suburb thing many times in the last 15 years and while it might help out a few local guys, it screws the other 20-30 regular guys.
We have people who regularly drive in from The Woodlands, Freeport, Katy, Kingwood and other areas. So coming up from the Clear Lake area shouldn't be a big thing. We do hope you understand and appreciate your support.

First...one of these days I will be able to bring my 2006 Shinka, not to show...she's stock, with 102k miles.
Second, what/where are the "local forums" and where is the site for purchasing shirts?
Third, a little assistance (knowledge only), my daughter is very sick (stage 4 cancer) and moved home last year. She has a 2007 Mazda 3, base, stripped model with 57,000 miles. (Clutch replaced at 24k! :-( ) When driving on the freeways over 60 mph, a metallic clicking sound starts in the rear left quarter panel. Under 60, no clicking. Yesterday, I followed her on the Beltway to see if there is anything obvious. No loose body parts, however, the left rear wheel doesn't look perpendicular to the body. It seems more like 95ish wheel at frame, or 85ish wheel at surface. Strut? Stabilizer? Something else? I am not a mechanic, but I do all the maintenance on my RX8, brake pads/rotors, spark plugs, coils, oil, etc. I need to know where to start and if there are any recommended mechanics in West Houston/Katy area. I am planning to start with an alignment, hopefully today. Radiation/cancer have affected her left hip. My seats are uncomfortable so we are doing most of the miles in her car. I have had spark plugs, brakes, air filter and more for her car in my trunk for about 5 weeks now. This mom is having trouble finding time between my uninsured daughter's daily treatment (after 2 years at Ben Taub, shes finally at MD Anderson) driving from Morton@Greenhouse to the Medical Center, working full time at 290/610, and spending every second with her I can, while trying to maintain a relationship, two cars, the house, three dogs, and a schedule in constant flux.
Fourth, due to her left hip issue and no automatics in the driveway, I have been looking for some alternatives. Have you heard of, know about, or experience with a Duck Clutch? Last, I often wonder if I am passing members on the road. Are there window decals availble? If not, a simple decal with the web address or FB could be advertising and a way to spot each other. Just a thought... Thanks for reading my ramblings. Jamie

Greetings,
Don't worry, only a few are "show" quality cars, most of us are function over fashion.
Local forums can be found at www.rxclubofhouston.com or www.houstonrx8club.com
These are the Houston club's locally operated forums that are independant of this rx8club.com website. Many of our members don't care for the large forums and prefer a more local flavor.
We also are developing our classifieds and market for local users in mind.
Information for purchasing the shirts can be found at the link posted above your reply. Here is the link: RX Club of Houston - RX Club of Houston T-Shirts and Clings now available!!
Payments can be made via PayPal or in person at the next club meeting or you can make other payment arrangements, see the link for details.
Glad to see you are both still active enthusiasts despite your burdens. If there is anything the club can help with please, let me know. I cannot profess to be Mazda3 knowledgeable, you might be able to get some help from the guys at mazda3club.com. Regarding the duck clutch, my wife works for a state agency that assist people with disabilities. I will see if she knows of anyone locally who might be able to give you information about installing a clutch solution.
At the link above there are decals available, they are in fact window "clings" and not stickers so you don't have to worry about any messy residue or paint issues down the road.
I hope we get to meet you and your daughter soon,
Thanks for your support!
Keith
