Well given time constraints and the holiday weekend coming up.... maybe we should make this trip the same day as the meet. Meet early in the day and go on the cruise, or cruise early and meet after? Its up to you guys.... lets get some input.

 

I've been missing all these events, not on the forum much.

If you go about 10 miles past Bandera there is a nice little mom and pop restaurant in Medina. Way less crowded than OST or other places in Bandera. Very nice and scenic stretch of road too.

 

That sounds good, everyone post what date or times are good for you. I'm good for anyday, except this sat before noon. I guess we can meet at like the Gold's Gym parking lot right there at Bandera 1604 and then hop on 16 to Bandera.

 

I am busy this weekend... how about either Sat the 23rd or Sun the 24th... meet at about 10:00am should arrive in bandera/medina around lunchtime..

yea i meant to tell ya. I cannot believe yall both have badass 8's haha. I liked the stripes, looks viperish. Well its installed but my friend broke a lil connector on back of gauge so I think today were gonna use some kind of plug to work with it. So as of right now it jus turns on and flashes haha.

 

After this weekend, I am pretty much open to any day. And 10am start sounds good to me. Hell we can even do it next weekend and then do another run the day of next months meet.

 

Bandera/1604 is a great meeting place.

Instead of the straight boring drive all the way down 16 to Bandera, a little side trip of going 16, make a left on PR37 for a few low speed twisties. At the four way stop at Lake Hills make a right on 1283 which takes you back to 16 by Pipe Creek, make a left onto 16 and continue on to Bandera.

23rd weekend is good.

This Sunday is bad since there is a SASCA autox at AT&T. www.sasportscar.com
Won't have the 8 out there this time, it'll be a different Mazda.

HELL YES! yea that detour is the road I was talking about on the other thread, park road 37. So the 23rd meet at Gold's Gym at 1604 Bandera 10:00am. Hope everyone can make it out.

We can also talk more about the State meet in OCT.

hey all,
new to the forum, not new to the rx-8 (i'm on my 2nd ). i would love to bring my shinka out to play this sat! (have traveled that scenic route to medina last oct and was very nice).
i've been looking for an 8 club to join, found one forum that looks like its alive and kicking.
can anyone info me to any other local stuff going on that i cant seem to find (i have a 7yr old so saturday daytime gatherings are to my favor)
hahaaaaaaaa, also, i may as well get this out there now, this will be my first rx-8 gathering, so i'm not sure what protocol is....do ya'll bring friends, significant others, do you ride solo....(i'm aware the jokes being the newbie will probably bring, i've decided since i'm kinda cute and i know how to make my shinka purrrr, that i'm okay with it!!)

well these are the only meets i know about for rx8s only but on thursdays there are some car meets around the amc movie theatre area
