hey all,
new to the forum, not new to the rx-8 (i'm on my 2nd
). i would love to bring my shinka out to play this sat! (have traveled that scenic route to medina last oct and was very nice).
i've been looking for an 8 club to join, found one forum that looks like its alive and kicking.
can anyone info me to any other local stuff going on that i cant seem to find (i have a 7yr old so saturday daytime gatherings are to my favor)
hahaaaaaaaa, also, i may as well get this out there now, this will be my first rx-8 gathering, so i'm not sure what protocol is....do ya'll bring friends, significant others, do you ride solo....(i'm aware the jokes being the newbie will probably bring, i've decided since i'm kinda cute and i know how to make my shinka purrrr, that i'm okay with it!!)

Well there is the meet on thursdays at the AMC off of huebner, but it is a broad range of cars, and guns
lol there are some of us the go to the Biff Buzby's meets on Friday nights, although more for classic and american cars, there are a few imports that show up and a few 8's as well. And also the first weekend of every month we are trying to get an 8 group meet(barring any holidays), we have had 2 meets so far and have had a decent showing. And as far as bringing others, our motto is 'the more the merrier' dont have to drive an 8 to come out and have fun. we also try not to poke too much fun of people, well unless ofcourse you drive an automatic, aint that right mark?! LOL

you SOB...now everyone knows they can beat me. Hey shinka, do you live on the NE side? My friend called me the other day sayin "omg there was this badass grey 8 with black rims" so you look suspect haha. So were jus gonna wing the food eating place I guess. I can't wait to see people's faces when we roll through :P

lmfao, hahaaaaaaa that IS me! I live on the NE side, 35 and o'connor area, but travel to 410 and west ave for job. those were my showstopper rims 
hahaaa, nice to have my baby be appreciated :D
although I think i'm the only Siciliana who drives a shinka here, that gets attention all on its own!
also, I am glad I won't have to worry bout getting teased too badly I see, you won't catch me in an automatic, I love poppin my baby into 3rd too much to get up to 85 real quick (just for the sound.....) hahaha
i'll pass on the gun filled evenings but I can't wait to meet everyone sat!
also, apologies, I am a clown, I never mean to offend, just am playful.
and the other post in that other thead : LMFAO, I was only off by a year :D in my excitement that I found u guys I didn't even try to pay attention to the date on that thread! it was a big bump :D lmao

the road turns into a literal 2-lane highway with the stores and shops like 20 feet from the traffic. like in the movies when they have a "main street downtown"....yeah, thats it....
nothin like callin attention to ourselves in a "quiet" little town........with engines that make big noise :D

haha, for my shinka i'd so carry a portable hard cover every where i go. i do NOT want anything happening to this car!!

Come on now, you should have lived in TX long enough to know that if you dont like the weather, wait 10 min it will change.
As far as cancellation or rescheduling, i guess we will make that call friday. Want to see what this "tropical storm" is going to do. the storm system that just hit us should be long gone by tomorrow.
Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms late. Highs in the low 90s and lows in the mid 70s.

k, if it is too nasty for the 2hour scenic maybe we could stay local, still meet at golds but decide from there where to eat? mini road trip to food lmao...just a thought. i'm feenin for a meet and greet and as a newbie will die if I have to wait a month to meet everyone :D
