Definitely working on it. Hopefully JR will be able to come. People just don't seem to want to get together. I think a friend in his conv 7 with turboII swap might come as well.

You can check out this thread as well for more info:

I know me and the wife will be staying both nights. I think we are going to be taking off work that Friday and leaving out about 9 or 10AM. That should put us there around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Can get checked in and settled in. What time does everyone usually roll in that Friday and start getting together? I would love to get more people to come with me and Renesis but I know absolutely 0 RX8 owners Hoping to meet up with Renesis before the meet so we can be acquainted and if he is rolling to Dallas about the same time as me, we could leave out of here together

In the past Jimmy has come down Thursday night and driving down with us on Friday morning. We usually try to leave Alvarado(I-35W & HWY-67) around 9-10AM. That puts us there around 3-4PM

Our website is actually a great resource for information for first timers (well thats my opinion anyway!)

Here is our rough itinerary: http://www.thetexas8.com/meet-info/itinerary.html
(Remeber these times are just rough estimates, they can change drastically due to road conditions and the speed of your group)

Friday:

7:00-7:30 PM: Registration at the hotel .

7:30 PM: Meet in lobby for dinner.

8:00 PM: Eat dinner.

Saturday:

9:30 AM: Meet in hotel lobby (for directions and instructions).

10:00 AM: Leave for first run

12:00 PM: Eat lunch

12:30-1:00 PM: Get Gas.

1:00 PM: Leave for second run

4:00-5:00 PM: Take a break and get a snack

5:00 PM: Head back to the hotel.

7:00 PM: Eat Dinner

Sunday:

Go home

As others have posted your arrival times are really up to you. The DFW group (NTX Rotary) has always traveled in a caravan down to the meet on Friday. Generally, we all meet up about 10-20miles south of Fort Worth on I-35 at around 10am on Friday and arrive around 4pm (or earlier) in Kerville that afternoon. There isn't any official meet reason to be there that early, but its good for us because it gives us time to unpack, chill, and relax a bit before the supper that night.

Just booked my room I am thinking about how I can leave early enough Friday morning to get from Tulsa to Alvarado to meet up with everyone in the DFW crew going and then partake in the caravan to Kerrville. Would have to leave around 4:30-5AM to make it there in time. If I have enough money saved up by then, me and the wife may drive down thursday night and stay in a hotel there in the Dallas area

There's no need to stay in a hotel. You can crash at someone's house. I would offer up mine, but my fiancée and I live in a 1 bedroom apt. There are several people that have houses that you could crash at, I'm sure.

Haha, if it goes down like that I need to know how many people we're talkin about here. I've already got Jimmy and Travis coming over from OK, and I have a twin bed and a futon matress still for people to sleep on, but if its gonna be a party at my place that Thursday night I need to hide my wife, and hide my kid! lol

I dunno, I was able to get 15 mpg on the last run I did following someone vs the 12 I normally get at the track. I was at a track just last week and I got something like 11.7 so I will take my plus 3mpg for following you guys:P

But why do we need to stay in a hotel for 3 nights again? We can just drive down sat morning, and then head out sat night. I don't think I will be booking a hotel room for no reason lol. Unlike some, my girl can and does drive stick, in more than one way:P She can just drive us back up if were done come sat night. Now if someones throwing a party after at thier home thats another story!

Unpack what? I think I will be using my military field exp for this one and just pull a 24 hour joy ride.
