Well, I found this information on the website. I'll try and be there. But should we decide on a time, or use what's listed below?
(When: We meet the first Wednesday of each month. Everyone starts gathering around 7:30pm with very informal meeting at around 8:30. During the summer months we try and meet a little earlier to take advantage of the extended daylight hours. This is a great time for pictures and to really see the stories we tell.
Where: Rudy's BBQ located on 183. Be sure and look for the reserved parking spaces for the club (non-members too!) They are marked with the traffic cones. Someone is usually there a bit early to direct parking (be sure and thank them as it is typically a club member, its a great way to get to know the other club members).
What: Eat BBQ and chat about our cars. There is no formal format.
Who: All Mazda RX owners. There have been a few notable Miata converts but so far no one has held that against them.
Dues: As of April 2001 we have started collecting annual dues. The dues were set by a vote of founding members. Individual memberships are $30.00 and Family Memberships are $40.00.)

I think I'll be there.........was hoping to have my side strakes in by now but has not arrived. I'm hoping to NOT get a bunch of ideas on how I can turn this into a screamer! THe last thing I need to do is drop another 20 grand into performance parts.

Wow!
GREAT turnout this evening!
All in all we had about TEN rx8s show up. Woohoo! Plus twice as many rx7's.
All in all one of the larger RX meets at Rudys in a long time. Kick *** showing 8's! I'm glad to see all you guys out there!

It was awesome meeting everyone tonight, certianly a great turn out, and WOW some of the most beautiful & powerful RX-7's I've ever seen. There was even a 3 rotor RX-7. Awesome...
But it was also cool seeing all the RX-8's also. Roger Beasly South even had one for test drives. "Smooth Marketing there"
Every color RX-8 was represented, except Green and of course no white.
I took some photo's so I'll try and post them up tomorrow...

FYI - Mazda South service writers aren't that smart. I asked about 120k service. All I needed was a tire rotate and oil change according to them. Riiiight.
Mazda North has more knowledgeable people, slightly. But I'd still just take my car to North Park Mazda in San Antonio if I needed any real work done to it.

In the rotary history mazda south has always been the better dealer. No right-minded rx7 owner would ever take their car to mazda north
Then again, I'd still try and avoid all dealer contact if I could.... rotaries and dealers don't mix!
