I think we need to have name that has something to do with the area that we are doing the driving/event....
Texas Statewide Event just seems to broad.......like what kind of event or who is going to be there, oh and where is it? kinda thing.
3 Sisters Rotary Rally or something like that may work. Just an idea, what else can you guys think of?

What about something like "Texas Rotorary Gathering"? Then you can do TRG '09 and TRG '10 and so on.
We could work the location into the logo...maybe have Kerrville, TX underneath it or on the side or something. That way you can tell what it is and where it is.

Here's the problem with all of the other suggestions... none of them SOUND cool.
In advertising you want people to know your brand and for it to have that ring to it that conjurs up warm fuzzy's. None of those other names have that. I am all for exploring other suggestions... but if we are not going to use "The Texas 8" then I think the name we use to replace it should be better... not worse.
IF anything myardor just helped me prove my point:

this statement has the ring of "completeness" to it.
Personally, I dont like Texas state Wide event, because its not a name... its a description for an event... like something you would see in parathensis after a name for the event. Plus I think its a bad idea to have anything rotary in it or RX in it, because lets face it, the RX-8 brand is not going to be here forever, unlike all those roads are (baring some crazy catastrophic event like the end times or something)

the event should be for rXs only but any other will not be turned away
that way it would be:

SINCE IT WILL BE SPONSORED BY MAZDA DEALERS ( PROVIDING THE GOODIES)
