.:. Hey guys, i haven't been able to meet up with all of you at BJ's yet, but I wanted to give you a quick heads up. I will be throwing a party on Thursday Jan 27th at the Velvet Hookah in Addison. I was thinking we can make this our spot for the meeting that week. If you all are interested I will reserve spots for us in the front. The Velvet Hookah is 2 blocks north of BJ's on Addison Rd. It is exactly on the NW corner of Addison Rd and Arapaho. Let me know if you are interested.

MrEd, That would be badass. I can't wait to see your 8. Mine is winning blue as well, but still very basic. Agent L and Prajna are really good, im real excited that they are coming out. They are also two of the nicest people ive ever met.
So DazyGirl and MrEd are in (2 parking spots to hold)... whoe else?

unfortunately i don't think my 8 will be out of the body shop in time. but i will hopefully be in my beater rental which means better gas mileage. i might get my hookah out and smoke some indian tobacco before hand! been meaning to check that place out for a while. as long as i am off work you can count me in!

well now its looking like the 8 just might be ready by the end of next week...still might not be in time though...

is ddm the new Dallas Dance Music. org? That old site seemed to be alot of people trying to fit into the scene. I have absolutely no time or desire for that nonsense. I just love good music and good people, thats all that really matters. Scene people are so god d@mn annoying.
Doors open at 9. I know the BJ meets were always at 7, and we met up at 7:30ish (even though i never could make it out, sorry). If we can all meet before 9:30, that shouldnt be too late, and i can reserve us plenty of spots till then.

the sight is dallasdancemusic.com. its mostly the local DJ's posting up shows and talking trash about whatever. i check it from time to time for show times and to see who is coming to town to spin. i think prajna posts up on there from time to time...i could be wrong though. i've been at work all day and am a little delerious.

OK, yeah that is the same site i was talking about. You are right about seeing who's coming to town. I used to check it often just to see what is going on. I think as long as stayed out of the boards, then i liked the site alot better. I just went ahead and posted it on there. Thanks MrEd.

Hi, I am new to the forums and Dallas. Would like to make it out to the party also.
I live in Addision so it's fairly close to me, but might have to go early cause of work...
So if the meeting is early enough that'd be great! Would love to meet some of you.

HAHAH, i remember when i had a focus as a loaner car... god that was horrible. All my friends started calling it the fu*kus or the jokus. Then again, they did give me a stick, so i was able to learn some good techniques in it, while not destroying my car. I will save you a spot, right in the front

My gf and I should not have a problem making it this Thursday.
We'll be there by 9:30. Can't stay too long though since we've got work on Friday.

unfortunately i was not able to make it due to work. kinda pissed but thats how things go sometimes. definitely keep me posted on when more stuff is going down. always interested in going to see people spin and help support the EDM scene!

Thanks to everyone who made it out. Things went really well, even with the gloomy weather. I got to meet some really interesting 8 owneres here in the area, and I hope we can get some events put together in the soon.
In another thread I was talking about getting the owners out to auto-crosses once the season starts. I think that would be really amazing, and we should all try hard to make it happen. As the season approaches we should discuss this further.
Oh, and there will always be more parties in the future, and I will most definetely keep everyone posted.
