My car made it to port in Houston on August 8th and it shows 5th week of August as the scheduled delivery. This seems like a long time, but I understand that the appearance package, spoiler, and CD changer are installed here. How long a delay have others experienced from arrival in port to delivery at the dealer? I'm beginning to get concerned.

 

Wish I knew... my build date was back on July 25th and it hasn't reached port yet

I only got the sport package with NAV system so hopefully that won't keep it in port too long...

 

Update my vehicle is being delayed at port because of the appearance package. All other port accessories have been installed. The appearance packages are taking longer than expected and my delivery date has been updated to 2nd week of September.

 

You are right. your car is being delayed by the lack of Appearance packages at the Port. The demand far exceeded the supply as the forecast for sales of this accessory were way off from actual.
Also, I understand that they are (have) made a modification to the Appearance Package which has to do with the rubber strip under the rocker panel. On early installations including mine, they were simply cutting off the excess rubber strip to allow the piece in front of the rear wheel to be fitted.

I was just informed by Mazda that my car finally finished having the appearance package installed at port (all other items were installed a couple of weeks ago). For others that are waiting, my build date was July 7th, arrived at port August 8th and is now scheduled for delivery on September 8th.
