Tracks in Houston
Does anyone know of any tracks (not dragstrips) in or around Houston? I'd like to start driving the 8 more aggresively (and learning more of what it can do and I can do in it). I'm not really concerned about 1/4 stuff just more circuit track stuff.

You have a few options depending on the size of your pocketbook.
1st stop - www.houscca.com - check out the autocrossing scene.
2nd stop - www.texasworldspeedway.com - look at the Motorsports Club and check out the track. There are other "driver experience" groups in Texas such as www.EDPracing.com who conduct driving events at TWS and other tracks in Texas and Southern Louisiana.
3rd stop - Momentum BWM (Southwest) - There is a test track out back and a nice guy over there (who raced Formula cars in Europe as well as in the IMSA circuit in the US) who is starting up drivers ed days as well as considering closed track events.
4th stop - www.msrhouston.com - This is a development south of Houston that is similar to the Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, TX. When completed there will be several track configurations and plenty of track time (provided you have some deep pockets) the RX-Club of Houston will have some exclusive track days there in 2006 if all goes well.

EDP is running an event on July 21st up at TWS. 7 hours of track time, and all you need is a helmet.

Thanks guys. I doubt I can make the next one at TWS but I'm planning on going to as many as I can afford the time and money for. If you guys go to anything relatively soon let me know (shoot me a PM). I'd like to see what's up as well as get to know a few of the locals.

Actually.. you might keep an eye out on the local forum at www.houstonrx8club.com
There is a section there dedicated to Autocross and Road Racing stuff.
