Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to have a transmission checked out. I've never had to deal with transmission issues before and wanted to know if anyone knew a reputable shop in the Houston area?

So you just need diagnosis? If you don't need any work done I suggest you take it to a couple of shops that give free estimates. Take it to multiple places and see if they can narrow it down.

 

What did you need checked out??? maybe i could help. I am located in austin though

 

Right now I think it might be that the short shifter that I got with the car was missing the bottom bushing and that was making it a little difficult to get thing done right. But there is still an issure with shifting from first to second at high RPM.
