He will sand and remove the oxidation from the headlights. They'll be like new. We will have to figure out how to remove your rears for painting.

I don't have the start problems. I think that is mainly do to the BHR ignition. As for your new wheels. It's a matter of quality and keeping them clean and waxed to protect them from the elements. One of my wheels flaked as soon as I put a tire on it. It is the clear coat coming off. He should still be able to do the rear lights even if he can't get them out. I just don't know if he'll charge more for the hassle of having to tape off the car.

He could definitely fix the oxidation. I'll put another meet together as soon as the weather clears. Probably looking at either ar Sat evening or a Sun around the 19th. With valentines day the spa is super busy and I will have limited time until the holiday is over.

Hey guys, I just found this thread for Tulsa rx8 owners. I have an 05 whitewater pearl and I plan to make it beastly. I installed my first mod, an exoticspeed midpipe last week and then this white death hit. Damn.

Welcome Valkyrie. Glad to have a wwp in the group. It seems to be mostly black and silver with our group w/ 1 VR. We will be having a Feb. meet as soon as we are able to get around again. Hope to see you at a meet. What other mods are you planning?

Well next I'm going to get a CAI, either AEM or MS. I want to fully upgrade the exhaust, I dont know what headers I want...I would kill for RE anemiya but I'm not that ballin. I originally got the ES midpipe because I really like the RII titan exhaust (rotor tips :D) but if I can be patient and save all my money I would REALLY love a knights sport exhaust. Accessport, pulleys, struts, tune...ect ect . Somewhere in there I'm going to get the Fabulous kit and some sexy white rims.

Quite an investment...I know. I'm trying to get hired at QT, all this snow had postponed my interview

I wouldn't worry about a header for the 8. The gain isn't worth the cost. Your looking at a min of prob 500 to get 2hp maybe. Mazda did a great job on our oem exhaust. You are literally buying it for sound. The gains are made from the midpipe. For a gain you can feel, take the header $$ and buy a lightweight flywheel. You will enjoy it more. I would also get a BHR ignition to stop the wasting of money on oem coils.

Do you really feel that much of a difference from a lightweight flywheel?

Jim will most likely tell you turbo, and he will go in detail on both. But going turbo there are alot of things to consider. Its not like a reg car, cant throw a turbo on it and drive. There are more things to it. Which jim will chime in with details. As for my wifes car (jenifer) if we do anything to it, we will supercharge it. But its a auto 6 speed. If I had my option with a manual 6 speed, I would spend extra money and time and go turbo. Glad to have new members here. Maybe we can make a meet around the 27th of this month?????? Got your hood on yet jim? How much longer before you get your coils back?
