Well guys, I'm a father(I know scary right.) Any way. I am sadly seeing a need to kick the idea of selling my baby for my baby. Not sure what its worth(4,000 on the new engine.). Any help, or word of mouth'd help. If I can find a cheap car or truck I can keep it but... Ugh. Pics will be sent out when he comes home. NEED A MEET!

 

Well congrats! and no congrats. Glad your steppin up to the plate most guys wouldnt do. Sad to hear the car has to go. If my funds where in the good right now I would consider takin it off your hands. But I have a ways to go before I can buy anything else. Good luck with everything and I will keep my eyes and ears open of anyone lookin for a bad *** car.

Thanks doc, but I need a decent newer car, and honestly don't have the funds. Hence contemplating selling my 8. Children put stuff in perspective.

I am game dude! Why dont we try for next weekend? Not this weekend but the next. That way its the weekend before the meet so that way people have all their things together as to when they are leaving and all and we can discuss. Plus, I hope to have my car back by then from having the engine replaced for the 2nd time in a month lol

 

Damn Highspeed that's crazy 2 in a month. Hope all goes well. What happened? Next Sunday works for me. I have to close sat. Would like to leave no later than 2 for Dallas. We have to go way out by the speedway.

 

I have to see when my wife is going to be able to get off work that day. She works at St Johns Hospital and she is trying to see how early she can get off. I will be off at 11. You and I are staying at the same house in Dallas that night so if we can roll down together that would be ideal.

Hell yeah dude tell me about it!!! 2 in a month...but I still love my 8! I think they said the replacement engine had the synchro gear go out? Not sure if that is what they called it. I am REALLY hoping its done at the end of this next week.

 

I'm up for next Sunday aswell. We need to hit up Spavinaw or whatever that place is called so I don't kill myself in Texas with the extra power O.o

 

Man I hope I have my car for this weekend. As of Friday, they claim they cannot find a replacement engine at this time for my car. I have been pretty calm since I just bought the car in November and I am already going into my 3rd engine. I told them I HAVE to have it back on the 30th since I leave the 31st for the Texas8. I am to the point where I think they should have to replace with a new engine since I have went through the first one in 2 months, the second one they put in last 3 weeks and now I am waiting on the third

 

Bob Moore in Edmond gave me a new engine. I didn't get a reman. Which shows they can put a new one in it. Did they at least give you something to drive.

 

Hey everyone!! I just spent the last few days of my spring break in Eureka Springs, it was just what I needed. Zipping around those smooth, curvy, mountain roads was awesome. Jim, a trip out there is a must!!

 

I have been scouting roads for an ozark's run. I've been looking into a weekend trip, unless you guys are up for a 10hr roadtrip. There is a road called the arkansas pig trail. I still want to check out first.

You could always come to kerrville with us on the 31st

 

Man they gave me a gay *** PT Cruiser I think the dealership is trying to save money so they are getting me a reman, which I hate! But since the place they bought it from has to warranty the engine they sold us 3 weeks ago that blew, they are having that same guy find another. All I know is this....they have 7 business days to get it into their shop, into my car and back into my hands. Dude...if they dont have it back to me by the 30th....wait let me rephrase that...they WILL have my car back to me fixed or I wont be able to go to kerrville cause I will be pending trial for assault and battery lol

 

The only reason I got a new one was because the remans were backordered for like 3 weeks. I hope it all works out for you. At least your saving money on gas with the PT Loser.

 

So is there a 8 meet being schedualed???? If my wife finds out jim making a meet without her knowing... Boy you in a world of hurt. lol Naw but really if yall gettin together to disscuss the texas 8 meet, why dont we just make a full 8 meet out of it. Maybe lunch again or sumthin...

Just got my 8 in feb. Married man not alot of free time but would love to roll around sometime, anyone still meeting at Mcnellys? Its an 05 winning blue 6 speed, stock everything, did a blue LED light replacement on whole interior, trunk, and side markers once i get the clear plastics. Also just got a K&N typhoon short ram intake. Lookin to put a body kit or exhaust on it next, also looking for spoiler. O and i just put Royal purple in the trans and diff...so smooth love it. Got a grinding problem shifting into 4th gear unless i baby it, gonna take it in since i got warranty on it get it checked out. Did the RP fluid swap and didn't solve it so must be more serious.

 

@Pdub8: Welcome to the 8 club, should hopefully have a get together soon.

@Extreme: As for meeting up before we head to the Texas8 I have no idea if anything will happen. If Jimmy has time we are going to try and get together on Sunday the 27th. But no idea if that is actually going to happen till the day of. Oh well.

Well dang, if its the 27th we wont be able to make this one. Visiting family this weekend. But i know we will have more meets soon. Summer is coming around and we all will be itching to get together. Unfourtutly I may not be able to buy a 8 till fall time. But at least I may have a shot.

Welcome to the club Pdub8, as far as I know there are 2 main places we do meets. One is at Fuddruckers (71st & 169) The other we meet in tulsa at Catoosa 193rd Quick Trip, then Drive to Locust Grove adn meet more people, then go for some mild curves just north of Salina.

Hope ya get your car figured out, Hope you love it. And remember keep a bottle of 5w-20 oil in your truck. lol Deff do some reading on this entire site about how to car for these and maintence. But if we can get a lunch meet together sometime, we could all fill ya in a lil. Are you from Tulsa area??
