TX License Plate Question (Not about the Front )

I bought my 8 used around Christmas from a dealership, This is the first car I have purchased in TX. I was wondering what the process was of getting my actual License Plates, I already got the registration sticker mailed to me but no plates. Anybody know if I have to go to the DMV or if they will eventually come in the mail also.

Thanks

Read through your paperwork, if you were charged for TT&L call them to ask when you will receive your plates. You should receive them within 30 days of your purchase. My dealer left the original owner's plate on mine (missing a front plate) and I made them get me new ones so that I would have both plates just in case I got pulled over. I still didn't put the front one on, I just thought it would be better to have it just in case. Plates are the dealer's responsibility with the sale.
