lol not true rx8. Last time it got raided, my friend was there for races and this cop jumped out of the bushes and sneak attacked them. It was hilarious. Also, I was there for 5 minute and then I saw helicopters flying around and one pointed their spotlight at me. I was like WTF! I was only here for a minute! And then everyone got in there cars and ran away. It was a good and exciting night...scary though =) I went back to the planet zero meet (legal meet) after that one got raided

I don't really like hanging out at these kinds of meets. Many of the people that show up really give a reason for the police to show up. They also treat the parking lot like it's a rally race, which makes it very risky for your car to get hit. Seeing fwd cars doing donuts in reverse and people flooring their car with the ebrake all the way on is just very pointless to me. And those few people ruin the meet for everyone. It only takes one immature little brat to ruin everything.

Westheimer hasn't been cool for over a decade.
Be safe out there guys, like legendkurado illustrates there are lots of knuckleheads out there.
I've forgotten why people go out there anyhow, surely not to impress the rice-boys?

Sounds like Rankin Road 7 years ago!
I remember when Fast and the Furious 2 came out and everyone was heading out to Brittmore. People were bringing out their trailor cars to drag race out there. I watched 2 girls walk in front of a drag race between a challenger and a supercharged trans-am. Luckily they didn't get hit but it was close. That night there were more cars out than even what fast and the furious had. I watched 4 accidents occur right before my eyes. Everything from a slammed dually hitting a curb and losing his radiator to wanna be drifters drifting into other cars.
That was the last time I went out to an event like that. Now I autocross.
That's my .02.

I don't go out to any street racing venues. I also don't go to riceboy meets which is what many of those gatherings are. There's alot of attitude going around and not enough talent to keep up with it. It's not the safest place to be. Then the risk of cops makes it all the worse. They bust people for just associating themselves. Not worth it to me. I'll stick to smaller meets with closer friends.
