I log every single receipt, not sure where the best number came from I did get a little over 300 miles to one tank though once, but I was on fumes. I think I screwed up on Thanksgiving

Not sure if this is a thread jump or not... but I have a question for the SARX...I'm considering a move, for a change of lifestyle if you will...The Metro East Coast area pretty much sucks with the exceptions of small pockets of humanity...
San Antonio was one of the places I was considering (along with a few others in TX like Austin which is not too far away). So question...
I have a four year old and was looking for a place to raise him where the peeps were decent (way too much tude out here) and the schools systems were good. The weather is better for more outdoor time (winters here suck cajones), stuff like that. Is/was SA a good place to grow up? If there are particularly good or bad areas I would love to know about it.

@ carbon
SARX started as just our local San Antonio group of RX-8 lovers (Grungepup, Hoss-05, Cornholio135, tbk, kevo, myself, etc.) but has grown into more of a brotherhood than a car club. We wrench together, BBQ together, drink together, etc. etc. It now reaches out as far as Japan with a member there and we have a guy in Austin and would like to add a few members from other states we have met with as well. We have lost a couple over the years from time to time but we will always be friends and they are welcome back anytime. We have also welcomed some relatively new guys (houstonrx8er, Hector Castillo, Shadycrew31) to the group that have fit in perfect and have really added to the group in many ways to make us even better equipped to help anyone out with an RX-8 mod or issue.
But most importantly we are just a bunch of gear heads who like to tear apart RX-8's in just about every way possible. There is not much we have not done and their is not really anything we wouldn't attempt to do except body work. I really don't think there is another local group that does it like we do and has as much fun as we do

Pretty much what 9k said...
We continue to change and grow overtime as well. I am a fairly new addition by way of SoCal as of last year. Since I have been here the SARX crew has accomplished tasks even a dealer wouldn't touch.
Whats unique about SARX is everyone's willingness to jump in and do the work. We all assist one another regardless of political beliefs, religious beliefs, nationality, being a cowboys fan etc etc.
I haven't seen anything quite like it, and I hope we inspire others to grow their own regional RX clubs.

Can't say I'm not a little envious of the group you have going, people around here just aren't that into modding/working on cars, unless they own a 7.
In which case the car is just broken and the owners are too stretched financially with a family that it never gets repaired, just sold and never seen again.
