Woohoo, flooded!
Always a good way to start a Monday morning. I knew that cold start issue was going to catch up to me at some point. A pity the deflooding didn't work, but maybe this way I'll finally get the upgraded starter/battery, along with new plugs.
Hey Jason, tell em to take good care of it, and be sure to visit her. She gets lonely.

the engine can flood from a straight cold start? i thought it's only if u start it and shut it down b4 it warms up and then try to start it up again, but... hmm

Not completely Detrich... the cold start keeps the starter from spinning fast enough. Call it the straw that broke the back. Regardless, I got my new starter and battery, so it's all good.
Oh, Jason, found something wrong... I thought my car was a dark blue... the one I was given back doesn't quite seem to be blue... hehe

I had it up at Classic Mazda in Denton. This was actually the first time I had my car at their service facility, but everything seemed to be handled smoothly. I'm actually going back up their next week for another issue, and it seems that as long as you schedule in advance, they can hook you up with a loaner and you don't have to worry about messing with Enterprise/etc.

Sorry Creto, I tried to Switch Cars when no one was looking but the service guys would not give me your keys so I could put it out on the lot in place of the Stormy Blue

Ive let my car sit for 3 days in the garage not dropping below 60 degrees and still floods. I watched some video from japan that shows how this happens. Gas just seeps into the chambers of the engine

I will say, I was *very* disappointed with the service department this morning. I had set up an appointment for 7am and was told I would have a loaner car. I got there at 7 and no loaner was available and Enterprise didn't open till 7:30 and didn't get over until 7:50. If there wasn't a loaner car available, I wouldn't have scheduled the appointment for when I did.

I tried to get em to loan the me the blue, but for some reason, they wouldn't. *shrug*

Well, I've been gone too long, so I thought I would drop in and say hi.
Mine flooded a couple weeks ago as well. I spent 2 hours getting it started using the "deflooding" technique. It took a while, but she finally started.

Jason, can you add any validity to that?

Yes I can verify this, one of our loaner vehicles is no longer in our possession, it is with the Wonderful Corinth City Police department, because of some incedints which will remain unnamed.
