Wow - Ford GT in Austin

I was out last night at Waterloo Ice House on 6th and Lamar. I turned around and to my surprise. ..a Ford GT at the parking space next to me. I was amazed!! It was red with white stripes. All I can say is that it's beautiful. I wish I had my camera with me. I only had my camera phone with bad pic quality. It's now my phone's background.

I think I'll start a thread about exotic sightings in Austin. I personally don't see too many exotics here.

If I had to bet money it was probably SW's car but just guessing because he always gets the newest latest and greatest.

they have one in the showroom at Covert on 183, you should check it out, it's an unbelievable car, it might have been the same one you saw if it's not there anymore as it was the same color.

oh, and the exotic thing is a good idea, I've seen a few here and there. So far I've seen an Aston Martin on Mopac (wow, in person those cars are insane). I've seen a couple of BMW z8's, one black, one silver and one blue. I've seen a Porsche GT3 (yellow) and 2 Ferrari's one passed me a long time ago on 360 and the other one was yellow on Mopac taking the Westlake exit., I've also seen a silver Lotus Espirit in Westlake, beautiful car. They're out there, just have to be in the right place at the right time

I wished I had a camera to take some pics of the Ford GT. I too have seen the Aston and Z8s around. I have a friend who's driving around town in his Lotus Elise (gray). You can probably see it on the UT campus on a nice sunny day. I yet to see a Lamboghini around town though. Someone's bound to own a few.

On a side note. There's a company on 5th street that rents out the Elise. I wonder how much that costs? I think they have a Viper also.

You guys need to hang out here in Houston more. There is an upscale development that I sell alot of houses in. One of the guys that lives there, who I know, has a nice sized collection of exotics. A few of the more exotics include, 2 Lamborgini Murcielagos, a Ferrari 360 Modena, a Ferrari 575M, a Porsche 911 GT2, and an original Cobra 427. Those are only the ones I've seen him and his wife driving around. He's actually got 16 cars in his stable but those are the only ones I ever see out.

I saw a Diablo at what used to be Audio Dimensions, an acquaintance of mine was doing an install on a Hummer (A real one for some vendor like Mountain Dew or something, not some crummy H2sierrawannabe) and it was parked next to it wating for some goodies to go in. That car was insane, the roof came up to my chest (I'm 5 4") and the back tires seem to stretch forever, must have 12" wide wheels on the back of that thing or something. So RotaryGod, is this guy hiring or adopting? lol I think I may have seen that Elise on 183 one day, my wife thought it was an MR2...doh!
