RotorPro rotors

RotorPro rotors
Just got these in today but got the wrong ones. I got
the wrong pattern. They fit the 8
I wanted 1 2 1 2 1 2 and got
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
slot holes holes slot holes holes
got slot hole slot hole
They are gold zinc, looks cool
everything is plated gold zinc
but where the pads will rub, that gold will come off
the dimples, the slots, the hub, the outside diameter vents, they are all gold
I have to say, they do look good
it is just that my heart is set on holes that go all the way thru and double rows of holes. between the slots
So I got the wrong pattern
and did not get holes, ie cross drilled hole
I got dimples holes...ie holes that do not go all the way thru
suppose to help with not wrapping
Wondering if anyone in Texas might be interested
They are gold zinc not crossed drilled but dimpled drilled
ie holes do not go all the way thru
Want just what I paid for them, $250
very good price if I say so
2 front and 2 rear for RX-8
Sport suspension, stick
I emailed them to see what they will do. maybe even send them back and get what I want
Came in 2 boxes, one box I opened to see what was inside the other is still sealed.
Wanted the pattern on the left but got the pattern on the right
Color is like the one on the right
Note pattern and color are two different things

Before I put mine on, I want to clean and paint the underside, the calipers, etc. Not a quick job so I will do the fronts first then the rears
3 coats or so and time in between to dry
It took me almost all day to install the SS lines, also from RotorPros.
Goes like this
Wake up at 9am
get ready to go to the shop
but find out that I am still sleepy so need some coffee to wake up
Coffee on an empty stomach is no go for me
so I decide to go get breakfast at a local eatery
2.99 for eggies plus 1 bux for coffee, unlimited. real milk included no charge
3 cups should do it
Get back to the shop around 11 or so
start looking for tools, jack, jack stand,( very important ..safety) hey this guy is so unorganized tools are everywhere.
jack up the car..oops it time to go to lunch
its only noon
so off we go to eat. darn am not hungry but get a drink
get back to shop around 1ish and start on the front drivers side
heck, the ss lines do not look the same as the ones on the car
wait for the mechanic to show up and ask him
he says>>> no they will not be exactly the same
ok i say and i start..almost finish the firs one but the retaining clip will not go in
again have to wait for the mechanic and ask..he tries and can not install the clip
says.something is wrong
i say ok let me see
I take it apart again and put it back on..ok
this time the clip goes in
Oops time for nappy
so I go inside the office to cool down, darn its cloudy but still hot
after nappy I go and finish the rest
after the first one, the other 3 we done much faster
so its about 4ish
need to bled the brakes but how?
I need help
well inside the office to wait for help
at around 8ish i get a mechanic to help me bleed the brakes
SO u think I will do the rotors both rear and front at the same time?
NO, just the front first
Need to find the gold high temp paint to do the calipers. underwell, etc
also need high temp clear coat to paint over PGs rx8 decal
While on the rear wheels I saw trouble
one side has a round metal thingy going from wheel to inside
one on each side of the car. both connect to something that has a rubber boot. large one
well one of them is rusty, the metal part
the other one is so greasy.
so I think i have some kind of leak
need to put it on the lift to check it out
but wait
he says...lift is so busy, too many cars inline for use of the life
told you he is so unorganized
will be back Sat or so to try to use the lift
and while I am at it
to install the Racing Beat exhaust system

The screw up was ... one my fault, I did not know what dimple was/meant
I thought it was 2 rows of holes
Who would want half drilled holes?
Never crossed my mind anyone wud want them.
How do dimples cool the pads/breaks?
I have no idea
I understand that dimples vs cross drilled holes
dimples do not crack or WRAP as much as holes
but do they cool as much as holes?
oh they are not called holes
they are called CROSS DRILLED HOLES
