Car is now faster, more fuel efficient, and no longer shows up on radar.

Also, vacuum leak cured, radio sounds better and neighbors Boxster melted when I drove by.

Only issue is explaining to wife why beautiful women keep following me home.

Alright I got the vacuum situation resolved!!

I'm hoping to be able to get some calibrations sent tomorrow.

I did a WOT run today and it only made that "popcorn" death sound around 7k and then I let off the throttle. Before it was happening around 5k.

Let's see what happens tomorrow!

Though I hate to be the voice of doom, it is likely you have already greatly damaged your motor.
Many, if not most, motors do not survive more than one or two detonation events like that, though they may continue to run "normally" for some time before the already broken apex seal comes completely apart.

I'll do my best (and I am going to quiz you on the instructions since you have obviously not read them), but if the fueling calculation on that adjusted base calibration is inadequate to prevent detonation as it stands, you still have a major mechanical issue.

Ooooh, ooooh, teacher, *raises hand* is it the instructions you wrote in all caps, with red lettering?

Also, do I get extra credit for doing my WOT run within view of MNAO in Irvine?

I assume this noise is different than mine... Because If I think about it If I rev my car in neutral I can get my car to backfire like a "Shotgun" with a really loud pop... I assume this is a different noise () haha because ive done this like 50+ times... plus is sounds like a backfire... Comp was running Boost right? I havent read his posts...

Edit: Yup, Comp is boosted...

That sounds normal, rotaries always make a little backfire when you lift under load. If you have a more open exhaust you will hear it on almost every shift. Detonation is described as sounding like "marbles in a can" rattling in the engine bay.

What is the right way to contact you using the google talk? The id is not enough, is the suffix @gmail.com? Google talk keeps telling me you are offline...

I was thinking that considering the actual time vs money spent right now makes dyno tuning almost pointless for most users, at a fraction of the overall cost.

Face to face dyno tuning is best for extracting maximum power.

True, but how much is it going to cost? and how much is it going to cost for an overseas customer?
