The tires are already pretty new, I think I'll go with the BHR Clutch

I figured that would have something to do with it... But!

My tires only spun to about 25-30 mph, I hit 60 in 2nd gear, so my guess is... it doesn't start measuring time until the car moves which for about a second the car spins then starts moving, by then there is already tire momentum built up by the spin so the car gets to 60 kind of quickly. The timer should have started right when the clutch was released not when the car moved. I also think it doesn't start counting until maybe 2-4 mph, not first motion.

People do love their tracking numbers. Even more than the actual product it seems.

Jeff on the Cobb website you asked why I wasn't using your 1c_0 tunes, I don't have any of those just the base maps for establishing the STFT and LTFT 1a and 1b.

Your saying with a proper tune it won't do this anymore?
haha nice

how long did you drive before you did that to get it so hot?

were you redlining it then letting off the gas during the video to get the flames?

the racing beat exhaust doesnt seem to shoot flames very well lol. seems like it stops quite a bit of them.

I only need to drive for maybe 10 mins to get it to do that.

What I do is floor it just for a second around 7200 rpms and then let off, then when the rpms drop just below 7200 floor it again. There is a sweet spot where the ecu dumps in fuel because of the 3rd set of ports opening. Whenever you hit it just right, it will shoot out 2 foot flames. You can see a nice one in my avatar which was a snap shot taken the same night.

Why does the Cobb Stage 1 suck so bad?

I know they say "made for a stock RX-8", but all I have is Cat-Back and K&N replacement filter and the Cobb preset tune is almost bad enough to destroy my motor.

I did a 3rd gear pull today and it was at 14.7 at 7000 then as I climbed in rpm's the ratio also climbed to 15.3.

MM did you have chance to make a 1c map that is based on my setup?

I'm going back to stock again after seeing that 15.3, in the lower gears it was too quick to really see how high it was going.

Beacause an intake does make it leaner, but mostly for the HP.

They know you don't hold it at that rpm for very long. It carbon cleaning w/the best power.

I agree it's way too lean.

OK, All you AP lovers out there - I see people displaying air/fuel ratio on the AP, but I can't convince mine it should do that.

What am I missing?

Live data only has LTFT, STFT, RPM and such - no mention of A/F or Lambda....

Maybe I'm on an old firmware - did you upgrade?

Very weird. I was able to display afr right out of the box.

I always keep my AP updated. The new firmware is a huge improvement!
