Cobb AccessPORT Discussion

Have you read the thread?
Base calibration?
There is no "base calibration".
I'm going to have to write a guide to all this, I suspect.
Thanks for the props, support and tolerance, though.
I know its frustrating.
I know this stuff innately and sometimes its difficult to visualize it from your perspective.

And if you aren't paying for tune, there is no reason to complain about the time it takes for him to make it for you.
I would rather get a dyno'd tune from Jeff instead of a map based on my data log. I don't mind sticking with the Premade Cobb one, as long as my mods don't cause it to hurt the motor. They have already made this one based on dyno testing, so I figure it should be good enough to hold me over until dyno day.

i am SUPER gratefull for it, but i'd bet serious money that if he offered the AP as is, and then offered a subscription to his services he would have a line of customers, including me.
that said, i am not remotely qualified to really offer anything but my own dumbass opinion, so make your own decision.... i wouldnt run the Cobb map unless i was totally 100% OEM, only exception i would give is a catback. thats what they designed that map for and tested it on. the smlightest changes in some things, like the MAF tube we have all seen, makes amazing differences in how the car will run on a particular map.

yes you are.... or someone is. someone actually has already worked on one as it pertains to the NA side of the house, only it needs review, comments, corrections, and approval before being published. last thing someone wants is to accidentally post misguiding info and lead innocent lambs to slaughter....
actually the slaughter part sounds fun...

Good, like i said, i know we should all be gratefull as hell. but its ridiculus that you spend all your time with this stuff for nothing(other than self promotion in line with future endevours
)
personally i'll be glad to see you offer subscription service, that should straighten things up a bit and at the same time hopefully allow more funding and time for your other projects and development(which many ppl are very anxiously awaiting) hell i cant WAIT to see whats around and offered when i leave honduras

oh also, get on Cobb and push them to release their own data logger..
a firmware update that allows short logs directly to the AP would be super, but standard laptop software would be just as good also

Jeff, I resent my data log screen shots from efi dude. The subject line says Rocketman1976 and the email address sent from is Chrisnuzzo76. I sent it to your jeff@mazdamaniac and you ap@... address.
You should charge even just a small fee for these and you would be rolling in cash, maybe even just $10-$15 if the ap was purchased through you and $50 if not. You'd be putting a 4 rotor in your Rx-8 in no time

Hey, I did a pretty good job of pumping caffein into you while you were in town. I even got to see the "MM Starbucks Dance" when I pointed out that SB was directly across the street from his hotel!
Oh, and seeing what Monster Java drinks do to Jeff @ 10:00 pm after a full day of dyno tuning was tons of fun! He was like a whole new man.

I still owe you an email but seeing as how swamped you are with them, I'll fire it off to you some time this weekend. (in between the bbq and beer)
