Those AFRs look pretty good to me. Idle might be a bit high? but mine bounces around a bit so.

Thanks for info guys...

RXTC now that you mention it...my idle did feel a little weird today. Very slight hesitation whenever I stopped at a light or something.

Jeff, what do you think? My AFR is at 15.5'ish.

Thanx...

Had my first issue in a while tonight and it had nothing to do with the AP or my MM maps.

I ran out and did a boatload of dashes using my EFIDude Logger. When I got home I cleared the VIN data (My CSV files have been getting really big - PITA to filter out the latest data), connected my EFIDude, it downloaded, cleared itself, yahdee yahdaa, went to look at the data and it is the exact same data that I recorded back on 8/1. WTF did tonight's data go and why didn't it clear the 8/1 data as I distinctly recall it doing the red light to green light blink thing back on the 1st.

i stopped by no limit to get an AFR -- they didnt do 3 runs, let it warm up or anything... but i believe this accurately reflects my AFR.

Anyone else see anything wrong with this fuel wise? I still have the same issues with poor response time, idle sometimes and stauling on decell.

what the hell can the problem be?

TI has some data that should be reaching your way soon from his efi dude logger. He also mentioned that my problem may be some intake valve that comes on at 4k ish rpms.

Also being that I dont have a vfad (HKS racing suction intake, RB air ram duct) ... there is a sensor there... does or can the cobb tell the computer to not look for it all together?

You are still too rich, for one.
Also, for a DynoDynamics plot, your numbers are not that far off.
What else do you have going on besides the intake?

HKS intake, ram air duct, high flow cat, mazdaspeed single can exhaust, stock cat

that about it performance wise at this moment.

I still sometimes get backfires and if I decel quickly from about 80 or so... the car stalls out. also idle is a little roupher than what id like it to be but still better than stock.

ideas? If i go to 2b the response time gets worse. Do you think i shoudl go to a different map and get some data from there or is this map good to work from?

You need to have your injector scaling corrected in your current calibration.
Which calibration are you on, what are your total fuel trims and what is your cruising AFR (above 4200 RPM, constant throttle, light load for more than 20 seconds)?

Does the AP update AFR's quick enough to use it for accurate tuning? Every time I go WOT, it says it's 11.1, but it just sticks there and doesn't change at all until I let off the gas. I was at 13 stock according to my dyno plot...

oh, 13 was stock program, no cat, 11.1 is AP, w/ cat
I find it hard to believe that the stock map was leaner than yours, but hey, you never know..

BTW Jeff I'm sorry to have to bring it up but, I sent you a log the 26th and I'm leaving on a trip friday, and was wondering if you were going to have time to take a look at it before then. If you dont have the time I understand. Thanks for all you do for us!!

I have no idea what you just said.

I need to know the AFR under those cruising conditions.

MM-ok so i'm sick of waiting in the dark and trying to be nice. where the hell are you with my map. have you gotten a single email i've sent. email was sent 36 days ago and I haven't heard a word except for the map you sent like 2 weeks ago that i told you not to even worry about making. how can you expect to charge people with 5 tunes or 6 mth when it takes 2 mths to even get a new map. Then i have to load it and see if it's working right after a week of driving and letting everything settle. I've tried not to bother you with stupid annoying questions but I guess i'll start now.

MM,

Good gravy, I just drove my car again today maybe third or fourth since my updates map (I ride my motorcycle as much as I can when I can) and it seemed like I was flying. I turned the corner under a little bit of gas and my traction control kicked in twice. It was awesome!

Not to mention that this was right after I swapped out my clutch bracket for the CRH one.

I give my baby some love and she gives it right back, oh yeah!

You didn't fill out the form correctly, so you got kicked out of my contact manager.
You either changed the subject header or used a different e-mail address.

To be enrolled in this service, please respond to this e-mail with the following information:
1) Real Name
2) Forum Name (if you are on the RX-8 Forum)
3) E-mail address you used to purchase your AccessPORT
4) Year of manufacture of your RX-8
5) Model (M/T, A/T)
6) Location (specifically, if you are in California or have a California model)
7) Induction (normally aspirated, turbo, supercharger)
8) Fuel injectors (if different from stock)
9) MAF/intake setup (custom, MazSport, OE, GReddy, etc.)

10) Other relevant mods (ignition, oiling, exhaust, etc.)
Attach a copy of the calibration you are currently running and a GRAPHICAL datalog of your WOT operation in a couple of sequential gears with AFR, RPM and MAF or load shown.
A screen shot of your logging software or an Excel graph is best.
Please list any concerns or issues you have noted.

Enrollment e-mails will be rejected if you omit any of the emboldened data above or fail to attach your current calibration.

what the hell does my damn enrollment have to do with you getting me a new map. I sent for the map before your email and I've been telling you for the last 4 mths I don't use the email that i purchased from which would be the reason for a kick back and how bout you try and let me know if i got kicked back.

seeing as I'm out of your contact manager means your where with my map and you didn't seem to have trouble getting me a map I didn't even want.

So, why didn't you respond with this info when I sent you your updated calibration on 7/15?
