Its not like I sit there at the computer waiting for everyone's e-mail!
I'm out developing calibrations, fulfilling orders and building kits!
I wasn't expecting UPS to actually install the turbos everyone was complaining about them not having!
I'll send out an s-load of e-mails this evening - that means 7pm+ Arizona time.
Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Hey MM: I JUST send you $$$ for an AP, is your shipping warehouse running in Real-Time? I'm assuming it'll be boxed, invoiced, and shipped out today, right?
Also, I haven't received an instant email verifying that you recieved my order. Will this happen in the next few seconds?
Plus, I'm assuming the shipping is UPS Next Day Air AM delivery, correct? I won't be home but I'm sure you know that and have told the driver to leave it on my doorstep.
Thanks! Look forward to using this tomorrow with the 1,597 different maps that come preloaded on it.

You're an amateur. What I do is send a few dozen emails, then send him SMS messages, then start calling him on the phone. And if I don't get a reply within 30 minutes, I call his office, then his Mother. Also his phone number doesn't seem to work anymore. Weird.

If I remember, I will make one Thursday.
I get the recirculate hoses and stuff Wed evening, so I'll be testing out the car Thurs morning and can report back then.
I just ordered some nice 19mm silicone hose to go from the reducer elbow to the recirculate bung. I didn't want to buy crappy coolant hose from autozone again.

I had to fire my mom. She kept telling people to f-off!
My text messaging in-box filled up, I cleared it and then it filled up again.
Same with my VM.
Between the 120 e-mails a day, the phone/SMS, building these kits and the 30+ hours I spent following Steve Kan around like a groupie over the weekend, I'm kinda bogged down.
I'll catch up.Just gimme a day or two.

If you use the stock greddy kit tell jeff you need the 3.5" maf housing map.
Also, I can finally report something worthwhile. This afternoon Jeff mailed me the 3.5" greddy maf maps ....
I pulled the old maf housing, and reinstalled the greddy maf housing. Guess what? I can now accelerate AND...
I can now boost.
AFR's were upper 10's to low 11's in the two minutes I tested it. The car is drivable BUT it is not perfectly smooth. I'm willing to bet $100 that the greddy maf housing reduces, then enlarges around the maf sensor, then reduces again, in order to straighten out the air around the maf. But this doesn't make the air perfectly smooth and so the car runs good enough, but it's not the perfect smoothness that I would like. I also assume that once the airflow is smooth, the AFR's under boost will become rock solid and not bounce around much.
Thus I'm still anxiously awaiting the custom CAI that has ~4" of piping on either side of the maf to have smooth airflow. Meanwhile, the car is once again drivable! wooooot.
I can make a video if anyone is interested in seeing. I didn't bother since there's nothing "new" for me to show besides a car driving around.

Does that mean I can just buy the standard 3.0" Mazsport GReddy CAI without getting Scott to make me a special version with 3.5" pipe?

The greddy maf housing seems to work well going from a filter to a 3" opening, up to 3.5" around the maf, then back down to 3" before going into the intake piping before the turbo. Replicating that with a 3.5" section for the mazsport CAI would be what I'd recommend at this point, but as I said, I'm just guessing since I have not tried it out.
My intake will be something like 3" piping to a long 3.5" pipe that has the MAF in the center.
You need to contact him and tell him what kind of setup your car has. Also as he said, he was not expecting anyone to be receiving the AP's till Tues this week.

Finally Boosted!!!!!!!

I still cannot tell you how it will work.

How long should I ask him to make the 3.5" transition with the MAF in the middle?

I don't have a fulfillment center.
I have to go back through 300 - 500 e-mails and glean information from them.
Some people neglected to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and tell me their year, model and mods.
Others refuse to send me e-mails and I have to sift through PMs on 4 different forums, despite the fact that I asked them to use the e-mail addresses that were used in the ordering process.
Some people change their name magically and their e-mail name/shipping address is completely different than where they say they are and who they say they are.
Additionally, I need to instruct each recipient differently on how to select the calibrations since the process is slightly different, depending on where you live, what model you have and what mods you have.
Don't even get me started on the people that "forget" what mods they have and neglect to mention simple things like the fact that they are turbo.
I'm sorry if this seems rude, but I am frustrated by the inconsistency and I worry now that these people might not be able to follow the instructions utilized in selecting the proper calibrations.
UN-FING-REAL.
He's a monster. He lives on Dr. Pepper and cigarettes - just like Tim said.
He has such incredible instincts and so much experience that I felt like I was holding on for dear life each time I followed him through a calibration change on the RX-7s he was working with.
There is nothing like watching a car go from 260 HP to 370 HP with tuning.

Oops I made him snap.
I guess you made the maps sound simpler initially with the three stages and different trims. I was referring more specifically to my email exchange with you in which you asked me to provide you with mods, model, year, and then asked me to email you again to get the maps once I receive the AP. I figure now it was to give you some time.
Don't worry about being rude. The fact that you read this entire message on your schedule is service enough.
