Cobb AccessPORT Discussion
#4051
AJ either way I'd get a custom map because the COBB stage 1 map is going to be very very generalized. Plus MM's maps will increase your omp output, get rid of annoying CEL's and increase your fan operation. The AP goes well beyond performance gains and gives you the tools to help your motor live longer.
Just follow the same steps and then when you get your upgrade mods you can move to a different tune.

after installing the update to my accessport I wanted to see if it would clear the p0410 cell i was having, but it also read a p0039 cell as well. I was able to clear them both but now they're back. My question is in regards to the p0039 cell. I did some "google research" and came up with a name "Turbo/Super Charger Bypass Valve Control Circuit Range/Performance" for this particular cell(p0039). The description of the cell doesn't state a problem or how to solve it. This code is not in our dtc manual. I wonder, since the flash for the accessport is generic, the code read isn't entirely directed towards our vehicle. It never showed up on accessport prior to the flash, it only showed p0410, but now after the flash it shows this one, and a couple other cells that are not found in our dtc manual. Any suggestions or similiar issues?

MM- I need a little insight as to my CEL. I have a cel of p0031 (low front H2OS heater) and my AP will not read afr, ltft, stft. this you know though. My question is why when I unstalled the AP the cel went away not to return even after about 100 miles. Then I reinstalled the AP with map 3a and instantly on start up the cel came back. You sent me a map a while back and I went ahead and switched to it about 2 weeks ago and no cel yet. Also while running map 3a I would clear the cel with the AP but it had no effect on removing the code for even 1 sec. Currently the AP is reading 14.7 afr 0 ltft and 0 stft. I'm assuming these are defaults saying it's not reading. Again the only time I see the cel is with v1c_3a. I haven't tried any other maps ie. 1a,2a. btw my new o2 just arrived I'll install asap and see if it fixes just curious as to why the cel only comes on with 3a.
Just installed new 02 sensor and car runs great now! still curious as to why only that 1 map showed the CEL

Yes the software can datalog your current map on the vehicle.
1. To do so you'll have to connect to the ECU/PCM (Ctrl+L) with the key on the "On" position in your vehicle and using the Dongle/USB cable connected.
2. You'll need to bring up the dash board and the log parameters (Ctrl+F) and select the options you want logged/viewed. Click OK.
3. To start the datalog you hit (Ctrl+D) and to stop it is the same key strokes(Ctrl+D). When the software is data logging in the bottom right hand corner it will say "Data Logging"

As of right now the AccessPORT doesn't have the function to Data-log yet. I believe we're working on it so sometime in the future it will be out. But for now enjoy the sweetness of AccessTUNER RACE!!! =P

yes, mazda could potentially void your warranty for it. Just reload the stock maps before you go to the dealership.

I zoom therefore I am.
never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever take your car to the dealership with the AP installed. If they even try to look at the ECU through the OBDII port they'll see it's been changed.
It takes all of a minute now to uninstall the AP map, so dew eeet!

I've already built my own 2004 AT Valet mode map
Took all of maybe 30 minutes of familiarizing myself with the app. 2000 RPM Rev Limit Cold - 2500 RPM Rev Limit Warm
I'd been asking for a valet map for the AT since I bought it. COBB FTMFW
