SevenStock is also 1 week away so I assume he's helping out Ray with a few BHR projects for the event.

Patiently we must wait.
I think most people understand that and are pretty patient, but I think we are stuck in that odd place where MM is doing this on the side, but its successful enough that his side hours cannot keep up with demand. This is frustrating for those of us who have been waiting patiently for many weeks without even a response. Don't get me wrong, I'm not whining, because I love the BHR guys and thankfully Ray has been able to answer a lot of my questions, but I have not gotten a single response from Jeff since buying the AP, and after flashing my ECU and having reasonably serious problems, I've been forced to revert to stock maps for the last several weeks while I wait for him to get around to contacting me. That means the AP is just sitting in its box until then. Even an email that said, "hey, I'm busy as hell, you are on my list, I haven't forgotten about you." would have made me feel a bit better even if it didn't answer my problem.

Anyway, I think there are a lot of people that are in the same boat... understanding of the situation, but needing support all the same. For me its less serious than others I suppose because Ray is going to do my turbo install next month, so I'll need the FI maps then anyway, so if my AP sits on a shelf until then so be it.

bwings, are you currently stock? If so, just use the cobb stage 1 map untill your turbo kit is installed.

I used it on my car for a while when I had my SC disconnected and it worked fine. This was with a custom intake manifold/cat-delete exhaust setup.

The cobb stage 1 wasn't programmed for this and it still worked well.

Yeah, basically stock until the kit goes in next month, but I have the AP un-installed until I can get the dealer to drop my cat and see if there is damage so I can hopefully get a replacement stock cat before I go FI. I will be using an RP supercat for the turbo, but as someone else pointed out, no reason to not get the warranteed part first. If I ever revert the car to stock it will be nice to have. After I installed the AP originally I started getting insane temps in the center console without any increase in water temps. There is no visible thermal damage on the outside of the cat, but it was getting so hot I was nearly scorching myself touching the console on the inside of the car. Not 100% sure what the cause was, but the lack of cat-saver and leaner tune may have caused an otherwise unnoticable issue with the cat to manifest.

Since I'll be getting the turbo installed soon, I probably won't bother with an NA map at this point. I'll just hope Jeff gets back to me and get him to send me the FI maps instead.

Don't feel bad. I'm local and part of the BHR crew and I STILL have trouble tracking the Mad Scientist down sometimes. His schedule is so frantic it makes me head hurt.

I imagine things will pick up after Sevenstock. There's been almost non-stop projects going on for the past 5 days and I'm sure that will continue till the end of this week.

Once sevenstock is over there will be more time!

Patience is a virtue.
I have an AP from the original shipment and its still not 100% how I would personally like it. I'm a patient man. I'd ask for something simple, it takes 2 months for a remap, then you find something else out (like oh yea the engine misfire CEL is blocked) an I got to the point where i just said the hell with it...

so in a week or two i'll be on my own mapping...

Well the problem I find iwth the delays is he has a time limit on how long he'll tune for you...but if it takes more than a month to get a revised map back...and then you gotta keep going back and forth trying to perfect it with a month each time....then the time limit he gives isn't reasonable anymore...although I'm happy with my current tune, I wouldn't mind finding out the secret to 22mpg as he has said others have gotten =)

Sorry for the delays, guys.

Besides all of the points brought up here by my AZ brethren, I am also trapped in the middle of a complete redux of my entire calibration library that was necessitated by the recent release of the RACE version of the software.
As you can imagine, 1100 calibrations that need to be essentially re-worked by hand is kicking my *** and my responsibility to all of you to NOT blow up your car is not insignificant.

The newest firmware basically trashed my library, so I am starting over for the most part.

O_O; HOLY CRAP WHAT? =/ that sucks...is it possible for us to help you out by sending the base maps we were given so you can use those as a starting point or is that completely something that won't really help? (my understanding your files = toast as in corrupt)

=/ damn...

Ouch. Anything we can do to help such as re-datalogging with the race tuner software and re-submitting a data file?

I'm sure everyone is eager to help make things more efficient for you.

^^ depends on load / rpm.
you don't want to see 14's or 15's at WOT

I'm asking because I rember reading somewhere that going past 13.? didn't generate any more power than 13.?. At that point you were just running a bit hotter/leaner.

I'm churning through it all.

Maximum power at WOT is around 13.2:1 (NA)
Anything less than WOT should be between there and 14:1
Cruise should be 14.7:1 or leaner.

How many more times am I going to have to type that?

The biggest problem I have in keeping up is lack of following directions. I spend most of my day trying to decipher cryptic, off-topic, non-sequitur or incomplete e-mails.
Most of which are very angry.

Jeff: Let us know if we can help you out in any way =) It's quite unfortunate what happened, and we can't really blame you for what happened, but we still have a limited time that your tuning will be given to us, so any help we can help with you to make things easier just ask!

(I hope I haven't sent you any cryptic emais =( )

You might want to look into structuring the first page in the thread a bit differently. Now I guess some people don't even read it, but for some it might also become too much to understand at once. A more wizard-like approach might be easier. (I work a bit with usability in my work and that's an impression I get of people in general when there's much new information, they can't take it all in and just ignore it)

I'd offer help, but obviously it would have to be updated by you either way Got my calib. today, looking forward to trying it out. Thanks.

MM - I've sent you a few emails on this but i see you are up to your neck in it so I understand your lack of response .
I need to decide quickly what engine management i'm going to run with for my turbo install . I already have Powermod & Interceptor x available to me

Do you have the AP available for JDM 8's yet and can you do anything with the speed limiter ?
